Thats great. Depending on the different discounts quoted by dealers, try to bargain and see if you can get a better deal over insurance.

I have booked this car in Hyderabad on 10/12/2009 and they are not giving me any discount other than the corporate discount(on basis of Wipro) that we are entitled to. So, I am planning to differ the delivery or cancel my booking if they do not offer anything at all.

Why is the corporate discount only Rs 7500.00 in your case? Which firm do you work with?

Every dealer now is offering 50 % off on insurance.

Even I find the Corp. Discount for Bank of America is way to low. I'll check with dealers in Gurgaon as well.

I made a booking for i10 AT Magna yesterday at Hyundai Motor Plaza, chennai.

Discount offered was Insurance (worth 16K) + 10k cash discount + 4K corporate (if in my name) + mats.

no other freebies, dealer says that they have cleared all their old stock and since this will be fresh stock they will not be able to give any more deals.

Has anyone booked i10 AT in chennai, please share your deals, so that i can re-negotiate with the dealer.

Hyundai i10 (all models).
Free insurance + Tanishq 7.5 gram Gold coin worth Rs. 14000 + 4k Corporate Discount.

Or you could opt for an accessory package instead of gold coin, which is worth more than 14k.

Accessory package has Music system + speakers + central locking (autocop) + footmats + gear lock.

(+) B. Insurance - Rs. 24,366
(+) C. Reg/Road Tax - Rs. 61,570
(+) D. Basic Accessories - Rs. 5,250
(+) E. Opt Leather Seats - Rs. 5,000
(-) F. Discount - Rs. 60,000
(-) G. Exchange Bonus - Rs. 10,000 (-) H. Existing Ford Cust (3rd Year Extended Warranty Free)- Rs. 5,000
Final Price [(A+B+C+D)-F] -Rs.6,79,186

Important Note:
1. The SVP comes ONLY (As per Chennai dealer) with light grey leather interiors. And it will look good ONLY with Black coloured car IMHO. Hence I opted for not SVP car with beige fabric interiors.
2. No AUX in port in the SVP car. That's what the Ford website says and I saw in person. Strange observation - The Music system has the Aux button and even displays "Aux" but the port isn't there to be seen next to the 12V adaptor.
3. Please check if the Insurance, Road Tax etc are reduced accordingly when the ex-showroom price is reduced.
Thanks Kiku. I took delivery on Sat.Yes the AUX port is missing but for some reason I was hooked on the leather seats.I'm not sure how but I guess I can upgrade in some way to that. The OTR in Bangalore with an
ex-showroom price of 593000 is 713,xxx. That's strange guess KA taxes
are much more.Anyways thanks for the info.As for the Insurance and road tax I need to check the invoice once more.

Can this be a location based offer, here in chennai no one talks about the Gold coin and all they talk about is the Cash discount or Audio system (sony mp3 + 4 speakers about 12k dealer quote).

Do you have any flyer/newspaper article on the offer.

Whitefield Honda in Bangalore is offering insurance for free or Rs 15,000.00 cash discount instead. This in addition to any corporate discount one is entitled to.

My dealer in Hyderabad(Pride Honda) is pretty adamant regarding any discounts. Have to re-negotiate this evening.

Congratulations! Enjoy your ride

It shouldn't be a problem to fix an Aux/USB Port input cable I guess.

Finally Honda is correcting the price of ANHC. Free Insurance + Corp Discount + 4K discount.

Seems to be a great bargain.

They are not correcting the prices its just the year end discount to clear the stock of 2009 made cars plus they need to pursue customers to buy the car in December rather than in January ie 2010 hence newer model.

Hi,
According to the Pearl Honda dealer, there were two schemes. First week of Dec. the deal was, Corp discount, in my case Rs. 10000 (Rs. 5000 given by Honda and Rs. 5000 given by Dealer) and Rs. 7500 cash discount (So overall discount is Rs. 17500). The next week, the deal is 50% insurance off. But the corp. discount from dealer side is not there. It is a marketing strategy that they are offering different schemes. If you calculate over all, the dealer offers around Rs. 17500 to Rs. 20000 to customers. They offer different schemes, which finally will be given one way or the other. Next week the offer might be different. Hope you understood why you were offered only half the corp. discount.
Thanks.
