Is fiat really a hot topic here on this forum?
If it is, then why isn't it reflected on their sales figures?

Owe it to the worry about after sales service. Though they are improving on this front, I think there is a long way to go.

Fiat's done some good work by launching the Punto/Linea. I own a linea and feel that the 1.4 growls for more power.

Going forward....

Hoping they pitch in the 1.6 TJet to rescue the sales figure from the lower margins!

I have ready to buy fiat series, loving design ,engine, performance and all everything, But only big concern about that sales & service under TATA, Spare parts price and follow-up
I am waiting for 1.6 upgrade for Linea or punto.

Was about to say the same thing, untill noticed your post. Wonder what does the company think to 'Get serious about the quality level check' or 'to raise it even higher'.

I think they are serious only if they think the former.

I think it is going to be called anniversary edition or something and Tjet might be launched post budget. A positive move. Initial customers, well, they were the pioneers I say. Had it not been for them, there would be no feedback. Fiat ought to provide some modification options to existing customers too if it doesn't involve any major modifications.

A good move from FIAT.
Let them learn from Chevy BEAT, on the dashboard console design. Hope they bring the dash from their European/Australian model.
A Blue lit display will bright up the console and stand out from other models in the segment rather than the common orange.

MJD with VGT and T-Jet in Punto - Let FIAT India set the standards rather than being a follower.

am I asking for too much , no wonder being a FIAT boy.

Good on Fiat for introducing these changes. Fiat is here and here to stay.

Guess FIAT really want to stamp their feet in indian market, way to go for them. I would dearly suggest FIAT to go with their own after sales service facilities, after all it is few thousand cars as of now to handle. TATA has their own hands tied up and would find it even more difficult to service FIAT cars to good standards with nano assembly lines running in full throttle. PUNTO and LINEA are the products which are going to stay here for long, FIAT just need to plugin the gaps.

Nice move by FIAT.

Nice move by FIAT. They should actionize these as soon as possible

Last week one of my relatives looking for new car checked Punto / Linea.
Comment was “cheap plastic” else a good car.

Not sure how many customers FIAT has lost due to ‘cheap plastic’ thing

When will FIAT replace all those TD cars with improved plastic ones? Only then perspective customer will get the feel of improved interior feel

A great step byt FIAT. I guess the fear of the new launches Figo, Micra, Beat haunting the FIAT stable.
Is there a possible 1.6 on cards too

May be my view is little different ... I would like to see seperate service
centers ie Only FIAT work shops , this would have given more sales becuase
the existing cars ie Palio Punto and Linea are not bad than the others.

Its good they are revising , but split from Tata & get seperate exclusive service centers
first ( atleast startup with the Metros) and then see the momentum going.

Not sure how many would agree with this . Atleast I do not want to go
to the crowded TATA service centers .

Fyi : I take my palio 1.2 to a private shed.
