'Cash for clunkers' comes to India also?

Also, these kind of laws will not be practical in India since there are lots of sparingly used vehicles which may be above 15 years old(and less than even 50K KMS) and also non polluting. Atleast we can use them in the rural areas.

Going by ancient junk like Ambassador, M800 etc still being sold in India, we also seem to have a 'clunkers for cash' program :-)
