I guess you meant to say BP. HP doesn't have Speed. They have Power.

I just looked out of the widow at the adjacent BP station. The display board shows only 4 items - diesel, highspeed diesel, petrol and speed (Rs 51.xx). Speed 97 was much more expensive I think. I don't see it on the board.

Its available at the Colaba, Ballad Pier, Breach Candy and Worli naka gas stations. Maybe BP is planning to restrict it, as the sales of 97 is much lower than the regular. I'd say, good move. Atleast they're not jacking up the price.

Yes, that would be better, if there are a few stations where its available at the current price, the users wont mind, but if the price were to be increased by 5rs, atleast some of the customers wouldnt use it.
Also who are the main users of 97? is it the super rich for their imports? or modders for their OHCs, lancers, civics, vRSs?

Here in Dadar also, the petrol pump guys are saying that there will be a stock of Speed97 by today evening.
But why Bharat Petroleum is discontinuing Speed ?? Any specific reason ??

nope they are not discontinuing it, just ran out of stock it seems, now only if Hindustan petroleum starts something similar like power97 etc, it will make these BP guys straight..

I fill from the United Motors Petrol Pump at Hughes Road, next to Westside. It's a reasonably reliable pump, and I have their telephone no. so I always ask if my brand (Unleaded Normal) is available before I go.
Here's the no: 23806122
