Though it looks different in bits and pieces, in real it will be hard to differentiate it from the current Swift. Just like the old and new WagonR.

The side profile has now got the Japanese Suzuki MR Wagon (Nissan Moco) kind of treatment...

"Suzuki unveils new Swift model in Esztergom" Budapest Business Journal:
Suzuki unveils new Swift model in Esztergom _ Budapest Business Journal _ bbj.hu
Thursday 15:14, June 10th, 2010
"Suzuki Motor Corporation chairman-CEO Osamu Suzuki and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán together drove the first new Suzuki Swift model off the assembly line at the car maker's plant in the Hungarian city of Esztergom on Thursday.
The new model was unveiled in Esztergom, but will be made in several countries. Suzuki's plant in Esztergom will turn out 170,000 cars this year, including 40,000 of the new Swift model, Suzuki said. The new model will be available in Hungary from the autumn.
Suzuki has been the best-selling brand of car in Hungary for 13 years. In 2009, it had 13.5% market share, selling 3,084 SX4 models, 2,480 Swifts, 2,209 Splashes and 339 models imported from Japan.
Suzuki has invested HUF 280 billion in the plant in Esztergom since it was established in 1991. It employs 3,900 people and provides work for thousands more at it suppliers.
The Esztergom Business Association presented Suzuki with the Maria Theresa prize for the economic development of Esztergom and surroundings in the afternoon on Thursday. (MTI-Econews)"

One of the greatest launches of the decade as far as India is concerned. Hope they wonnt go wrong while fitting a boot to make a Dezire! I wish the launch could have been India. Just see the numbers above and how they compare with the huge numbers sold in India! India and its customers deserves much much much more importance. Ofcourse world automobile business has its own ways of doing things. Hope we will see swift 3 being tested and launched in India first and the world sees it later.
The pictures suggest of slightly increased distance between the rear back rest and the tailgate, indicating slightly increased boot space.

The boot looks so Ugly!! eeks!! Fat butt lady got much fatter.oops.
Actually some bumper modification will make it look better. Numberplate housing should be at the bottom like on the punto.

Front looks great, however. Reminds me of Kizashi.

Interiors, Great and awesome chunky steering wheel. But but, Maruti brings here the cheap iterations of this beautiful interiors.
Maruti, You need to compromise on quality and fit & finish to keep costs under control. Learn some thing from Ford Figo and Polo.

Hope we see this swift as is, on our indian roads.

The boot looks ugly to me. The front profile has got a better finish compared to the Old gen Swift.

The rear windows look smaller to my eyes compared to the current gen!

Oh, atleast not a bad job comparing to Zen estilo/Astar/new WagonR, except rear view. Are they planning to launch new Swift dezire? that may look better than the current one if done properly!!

Those bling tail lamps look ugly to me.

Well Sam, I think you should wait. Your wait may be longer as the bookings will be in large volumes when the news breaks! But, if I were you, i would rather wait for 4 months and pick the new model.

looks neat, and a rather formidable replacement for the fiat as a General purpose car of the family .
