I hope Maruti launches a Zdi this time around at least. Imagine - a Zdi at 700,000 rupees on road would kill the competition from Figo, Polo, Punto etc.

Boot space seems to be a premium here too. Rear passenger almost sits close to the tailgate. Wish they had extended to full 4m length to accommodate a bigger boot. Please see the figure from autoten.

From Last picture of the link posted of Hungarian Factory the Boot space seems to be very much less. Have they done another Wagon-R here, spacious back seats (assuming) and smaller boot ?

the new Swift gets the 1.2L petrol motor with 94 BHP that is 10 BHP more than the current one . Plus the efficiency is 56.5 mpg (~ 20 kmpl)... tempting... really tempting.

I wish they launch a Dezire Weekend (version), & I would rush to the dealer for the petrol one.

Is this not the same new 1.2L engine doing service on both the Ritz and the Swift. 94 BHP seems to be its original power which has been de-tuned for India for better efficiency.

Yes, it is 94 BHP for 1.3l (1248 cc) engine. This time you get this power from the 1.2l engine. Hopefully, the Indian version will be much detuned this time, say around 90 BHP.

From this article,

Global News News.2010 | Global Suzuki

The 1.2 engine is an evolution of K12 known as K12B which ha 94 bhp and dual VVT. Hope the same engine makes it into India, at least in zxi.

Putting some more images from the same website autoten.com,

I quite like the new upscale interior.

I was dead sure that suzuki will mess up the swift in facelift, but they have proved me wrong the car looks wonderful. Not too much of change from original design but still looks very fresh and modern. hopefully now it will get a engine which it deserves.

The European version has Dual VVT (valve timing on both exhaust and intake valves), hence the extra pwoer. Indian models do not get valve timing.

The car is sensational though.

New Swift looks amazing, its sleeker and has a more purposeful stance compared to the outgoing version.Hope the Indian version will also have similar looking interiors and the new 1.2L engine.

Also from the pics the bulge in the boot lid is not as pronounced as in the case of Megane.

The more pictures I see, the more I fell in love with this car. Maruti... Just bring it on as soon as possible and make sure that it comes with all goodies.
