It has to be Nano. Just for revolutionizing the car industry.

I just hope it lives upto its promise of doing for the car industry what Bajaj Chetak did to two wheelers.

Well, we've included cars from all segments. Thus, the li'l car garnering nearly 40% of votes (and about 400 till now) is huge! Considering that the poll is going to shut tommorow, I think we have a winner

That is the reason why i decided to cast my vote for the Nano. It may not be the 'best' car on Indian roads, yes it looks awkward and could roll over easily. But all things said and done, they have achieved a major feat, making a car for 1 lakh. Moreover, the Nano has helped the Indian automobile industry immensely and has now put it on the world map. I am sure car magazines all over the world had lengthy articles about this car. So when Bugatti Veyron, the most expensive gets several accolades, i sincerely believe the cheapest car deserves its dues too!!

One wonders why the actual sales figures of the linea and punto are not doing justice to fiat. But look at the tata-fiat stable, hats off to them - they have 4 cars in the top 6 slots and not to mention the top 3 out of 3 positions. Like wow.

Nano is the clear winner !!

OT : I must say I am a tad disappointed by the number of votes casted. 1037 votes (while I am writing this) do not do justice to the large fan base TBHP enjoys.

MUV of the year Mahindra Xylo

Mahindra Xylo won the MUV of the year award at the NDTV CAR AND BIKE AWARDS 2010. Xylo clearly deserved this award. If not the car of the year, Xylo is an ideal family MUV with a class that can be quite palatable. It did give established names like Innova and Tavera a run for their money.

With over a 1000 BHPian votes on the poll, the Nano emerges as the "Team-BHP Car of the Year" (nearly 4 of every 10 votes). The win is hardly surprising if you ask me, yet for the cheapest car in the world to be so loved is a mega achievement. The Nano has spunk and will go on to be a game changer at the entry level. We only have to wait for the production to start in Gujarat!

1058 votes cast. Tata takes (406 Nano + 63 Manza). Fiat takes (160 Punto + 113 Linea). That's a total of 742 votes for the Tata-Fiat alliance, over 70%. The going is surely good for them. The top 3 places going to this alliance.
