Baleno LXi all the way. The engine is a marvel, and the car looks good in black (the rear can do with some mods through). If not for my phobia of driving a big car in Delhi, I would certainly have gone for it.

Here is the logic why Petra is loosing to Baleno.

In the previous post when petra and Baleno were compititor, Most of the people who had other vechiles ( which now are in this list) opted out for Petra. this shows petra is actaully more desired car then Baleno.

cheers

How do you figure it out? If so, that's greatest compliment for any car.

Did you checked out are there guys who did for Baleno too?

The Baleno LXI is definitely a good car. If it was priced a bit lower, it would have blown away the competition. But if you discount the ASS or assume the them to be the same then it would be neck and neck between the Petra 1.6 and the Baleno. Too bad Fiat and Maruti don't realize some things.

I am thinking in the end Ford Ikon anniversary edition will win. The numbers have been rising off late. The reason is simple, its the most loaded machine in the price brand and has the JOSH. The looks are not as bad as Baleno, the ASS is not as bad as Fiat, the interiors and quality is not as bad as Indigo, the body is not as weak as Esteem. So we have a real winner, and it has the JOSH written all over it.

Indigo is not the largest selling car for nothing. It appeals to the entire category of car buyers that are. FE, Build, Comfort, Maintanance, Relaibility, Stylish, Spacious etc.... etc... the list goes on

my rating of the cars (all stock)

1- fiat petra (heart rules over head)
2-maruti baleno (head rules over heart)
3-tata indigo (heart and head reach a compromise).....

but overall, i think i would choose the indigo....simply because it's the cheapest to own and maintain, great comfort, good resale value, and low running costs....simply the most practical of the lot....

Folks

Just wanted to get this clarified... The indigo mentioned herein refers to the Diesel one.
Unless otherwise mentioned, an indigo implies the diesel variant.

Is my understanding correct.
