lol. even the kink on the rear door is the same.

Wonder why they launched a concept version. They could have displayed the Meriva.

The Vauxhall agila is the Suzuki Ritz so this could be the RIII most likely.

Great find.

Great find.
Seems like the Meriva is a 5-seater whereas the RIII concept is a 7-seater?

Yeah I noticed that. But in the RIII they have barely managed to get the 3rd row in.

It's like a Meriva with 3 rows that's all. Just extend the length a wee bit.

Infractions: 0/2 (8)

if the execution is as good as the concept looks, then it would be a potential Xylo, Innova and Tata IndiCruz beater. it may even compete with the Toyota Avanza which is slated to come - as reported on another thread where someone spotted the test mule etc.

I like it!

But it seems to be "inspired" by the BMW efficient dynamics concept.

Maruti to Double India Dealers as Rural Growth Lures Hyundai

By Siddharth Philip
May 16 (Bloomberg) -- Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., maker of
about half the country’s cars, plans to double its dealerships
in five years as Hyundai Motor Co. and Toyota Motor Corp. try to
break its stranglehold on the nation’s auto sales.
“We are doing everything possible to keep our market
share,” Chief Financial Officer Ajay Seth said in a May 13
interview in New Delhi. “The Indian automobile market is
exploding and it’s all across the board.”
The automaker aims to build up a network of 2,000 outlets
nationwide to protect its sales lead as Hyundai expands beyond
large cities because of rising demand in rural areas. Maruti
expects rural markets to account for 40 percent of its sales in
10 years, double the current level, Seth said.
“Rural India will grow much faster than urban India,” he
said. “Families there have more earning members and
agricultural products are attracting better prices.”
The Suzuki Motor Corp. unit will introduce a multi-utility
vehicle later this year to compete with Mahindra & Mahindra
Ltd.’s Xylo and Toyota’s Innova vans, Seth said. Industrywide
sales of such models rose 26 percent to 188,620 in the year
ended in March, according to the Society of Indian Automobile
Manufacturers.
Maruti, based in New Delhi, aims to boost annual spending
on research and development to 2 percent of sales in five years
from the current 0.6 percent to help develop new models, Seth
said. This fiscal year, the automaker is boosting total
spending, including expanding capacity, 33 percent.
The carmaker fell as much as 2 percent to 1,198.5 rupees in
Mumbai trading, and changed hands at 1,208.2 rupees at 10:54
a.m. The shares have fallen 15 percent this year compared with a
10 percent drop for the benchmark Sensitive Index of Bombay
Stock Exchange.

Wealth Beyond Cities

Hyundai, India’s second-largest carmaker, plans to open as
many as 1,000 rural outlets as economic growth spreads wealth
beyond cities in the world’s second-most populous nation, it
said last week. Toyota, which started selling its Etios sedan in
December in India, has accelerated plans to increase capacity by
40 percent at its factories to 210,000 units a year.
Maruti sold 1.13 million vehicles in India in the year
ended in March, giving it a 49 percent market share, according
to the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers. The carmaker
had a 52 percent share two years ago. Annual profit fell 8
percent to 22.8 billion rupees ($506 million)
