Thought I must add Mahindra's sequel to the Live Young, Live Free series here. Once again, builds up very well from where the first ad left off.

re: The best car ads

This is quite an old ad featuring a vehicle which has been on the Indian automobile scene for the last 32 years. The vehicle is none other than the evergreen heartthrob of every adventure lover i.e Maruti Gypsy. Though the ad is more about conveying the widespread presence of Maruti Suzuki Service Stations across the nation but it still invokes nostalgia associated with Gypsy.

That is an incredibly touching ad. Thanks for sharing. Loved it for two reasons:

1. Shows how the widowed elderly can feel lonely, and how the only thing they want is company from their family.

2. That actor! I can't remember which serial, but he was a detective or policeman in a TV series from the 90s. We used to watch it a lot.

I think that's Ramesh Bhatkar, a staple in a Marathi tv shows until a few years back.

Is Hello Inspector / Teesra Dola what you're referring to? I watched the latter quite a bit, it was on tv right after I got back from school.

Very cute ad. Shows how every man's wheels are his pride & joy, no matter whether it's a souped-up hatchback or a tractor!! See how it's shown parked outside and how proudly he walks up to it.

Hyundai's "Be the better guy" campaign ad. To show rash driving, notice how smartly they've used cars from an R.I.P. manufacturer

Wow so according to this ad all Chevy drivers are uncouth goons . Talk about beating someone when they are down.

The clip showing talking on phone while driving is spot on.
Since I've started using vehicle for my college runabout, I see so many people using phones while driving and try to stay away from their vehicles as much as possible. If there's a red light, people get their phones out in the hand and cruise to the red light. Hope they realise how dangerous it can be.

Not sure if its posted here already, but these BMW M ads are drool worthy.
I just can't get enough of it. The ads are way too good and gives me goosebumps whenever I watch them, especially with that awesome BGM!

re: The best car ads

I liked Maruti's "Ghar Aa Gaya Hindustan" (India comes home in a Maruti Suzuki) ad series. Particularly the last scene where the Gen - 1 SWIFT is seen pelting down the expressway but comes to a halt on seeing the young man seeking to hitch a ride to get home in time for Diwali.
Classy, subtle ad with the correct touch of local flavour and sentiments to ram home the message on the dependability of Maruti products

Another ad which stood out was the Sumo Victa "Aap ki pehchaan" (Sumo Victa - your identity) ad series by Tata Motors way back - almost 10 years ago??

Though not much fan of the car though it looks good because it has been shot mostly from its best appearance ie the front the KUV Nxt ad is catchy and I kind of like it.
