please check this one too, a tv ad that was very very unique, short (unlike other) but still made its point loud and clear.

Digging out an old thread. Recently saw the 'kitna deti hain' ads for Maruti. Although hilarious I doubt the kind of image Maruti is building for itself with these ads especially when the all new Swift is on the cards. Implicitly saying 'forget performance, what you all want is mileage and thats what we give' is a bit risky now IMO. Nevertheless I was ROFLMAO after seeing those ads.

Actually, I loved that ad. Funny, and sends the FE message home. Noticed the Indian tourist clicking his camera when he's not supposed to ?

There are a couple of more Ads by maruti on the same concept, one of which involves Army guys inspecting a tank and asking the vendors "kitna deti hai". Too good although using the uniformed guys for an ad is too much too digest.
Maybe the defence deals in India are done this way.

with the ministry doing its bit by de-controlling fuel, the war on this seems to have already started. Look how Tata has responded, I bet rather hurriedly.

Actually funny! I was LMAO seeing that. The best part was the attitude with which the guy asks the question "kitna deti hain"

I guess the Maruti ad is suzuki's perception of their customers, dumb fools who cant understand difference between a spaceship, tank etc and a city commuter car, all the care about is mileage.

I found it disgusting, not funny.

And to top it all they say the entire nation is like this.

I too agree with "mxx" on Maruti's latest adv. I feel that that they are making mockery of Indian Customer by saying that FE is the only thing we Indian's ,although now its agreeable. If this would have been the case then the Indian passenger vehicles market wouldn't have gone beyond M-800/Alto. I feel that they should educate customers more on their newly added features rather than FE which may not be true in all segments. All characters shown in adv. seems to be funny character rather than realistic. May be they should have added Engine CC of the tank too. (in the range of 40 litres as compared to 0.800 litres of M-800) in order to educate customers.

Hyundai US copies Tata?

This is the Tata Indica Vista ad that we all have seen a million times:

And this is the Hyundai Sonata Turbo ad that's being aired in the US:

Is this mere coincidence?

How did the MUL advert with the captions "Ghar aagaya Hindustan" miss the list. That was very warm and the timing of the release of the ads was perfect. Some time in Diwali couple of years ago. My vote goes for that advertisement.

I don't know if this can qualify, since this is actually a bike ad not car ad.

The new ad campaign my mahindra for rodeo. Very nice ad with social message.

Voted for Safari.
"Reclaim your life". The video and the sound track (especially the sound track) was really awesome. It really calls the beast sleeping inside you (in a good way)
