Mahindra and Renault has Broke their tie up i guess

And if the station wagon is going to come
then it might as will launch the LOGAN PICKUP

No new Logan it is. Its just a new variant!

Would have:
- Luggage specially designed for Logan by VIP.
- High end music system with hands free telephony via Bluetooth and USB/iPod connectivity.
- Color coordinated seat covers.
- Rich wood finish centre fascia and end rack, floor mats and an enhanced carpet
- Fog lamps in the mid variant, which were earlier in the top end versions.
- New 14 inch wheel caps and black B pillar strips
- Would be available in 3 colors – java brown, mist silver and diamond white.

Another ugly looking French car. For a country renowned for its style statements - they really make some of the worst looking cars. Staid cars like Indigos and those Opels actually look pleasing to the eye compared to this French beast - they should rename the Logan and call it Quasimodo - from the Hunch Back of Notre Dame. For the record, the Dzire remains the ugliest car on the Indian roads though.

Its sad to see the JV between Mahindra and Renault at such a state! The engine is great, very economical, its even a decent car! But they should have brought this in 1998 for about 5-6lakhs and would have been a massive hit! Dacia does well only in the east european countries and only its versions such as the sandero or the station wagon type vehicle should have been launched if they couldnt price the logan right.
Is this another 'peugeot-pal' debacle in the waiting?

The Logan pickup looks alright to me. The Indian market will never get this car, i'm sure!.I wonder what more surprises are in store at the Auto Expo from India's House of Horrors on Wheels!

I don't get it! What is the logic of bringing a station wagon at this stage? Station-wagons have never been popular in India. Are they trying to carve a small niche for themselves as Logan is not selling in sedan format?

@pacman2881 - if you can call 2 cars/month a niche, then it certainly does look like it. I'd rather bet on Harbhajan and Sreesanth getting married than any variant of the Logan being a success in the Indian market.
