.
Now this is interesting. All cars mentioned hikes the price from the original prices mentioned. No Swift range at all.

Now that clears the air on whatever that was said about Swift pricing for the Polo. Now waiting for a Skoda Fabia price revision below the Polo.

Which is this racing version? Is it the Polo Cup they are talking about? Or the 1.6 petrol which has been speculated on Team-BHP? Or a 1.2TSI petrol? If this is true and VW really launch a sport version of the Polo, this would really be WOW news. However, I am realistic / pessimistic, and I feel that most probably, ET misquoted the VW official, Neeraj Garg.

The 1.2 litre Polo coming in three versions would have 50 per cent localisation, he said, adding and the roll out would be through its Chakan facility in Pune.

The Polo would be available in both petrol and diesel variants.

that's the biggest oxymoron of indian auto industry.

one one side competitive and on the other a mention of fabia, jazz and i20's price.

seems like neeraj garg is a great fan of GnR. its like saying "chinese-democracy".

The Chevy Beat seems to be the only rockstar of the show!

The Etios is exactly what a refreshed Logan should be! Or should I say, tht's how the Logan should have been launched initially.

The Honda Small Car Concept is outright ugly!

News on Polo might be positioned at Jazz, i20 price levels.

They better not sell the Kizashi at all. For 8/10 people aka common man it looks like a refreshed SX4!

Tata, wru? Please don't fail to surprise us!

Maruti echo is a joke.

it has been very disappointing till now especially what has been said about the Polo pricing which would be around 6-7L.

GM Beat is the best news with the price tag between 3.5-4.5L it will sure rock the Hatch market IMO.

Guys don't underestimate the maruti in india even a bullock cart with that badge would sell due to great after sales ,and resale no offense to anyone. Going by vw announcement then polo diesel highline would be 8+ comfortline would be at i20 asta price point and trendline could be at magna pricepoint now question is abs and airbags standard across the line .... Will have to wait till 5 today I guess for more info or more spin and hundred ads

@pb10gagan,
Ha ha ha...lets see whether it is as beautiful as "that"

Polo hatchback version will launch in indian market in March 2010 but sedan will come later this year.

Bosch says they are developing a common rail for Tata Nano with 550-650cc

hmm, at last POLO is just another Fabia (Premium! Hatchback) in india. Only Jazz and I20 top end , may fabia feel the heat. No swift , Ritz and Beat and all. I would be satisfied with BEAT in this case.
