I have not heard this. The article says Dec. Will they announce all versions?

As per Wheels Unplugged article the launch is scheduled on 1st Dec 2010.

What you said is correct. Infact i cross checked with one of the dealers and he too mentioned about Dec 1 launch.

He also mentioned that Akio Toyoda will be here for launch. Wow thats a gr8 news.

Wish i could get a chance to meet this person !!! (guess am having too much hopes)

The bookings would be open probably on the 1st of December 2010. However, the deliveries might begin only in Jan 2010.

Will reconfirm from the factory sources.

Anybody got pictures of the interior? All I've seen so far is the hideous red and white job seen in the AUto expo.

& yes, when my dad enquired dealer promised Jan delivery.

Aren't we overreacting? The cars shown at the Auto Expo were concepts. And with concept cars, you can do anything. I expect Toyota to play it safe with a Black/Grey and Biege Combo interiors for the Etios (just like on the Corolla).

No they were actual production intent cars except for the interior colour scheme. The went crazy with it for fear of losing face in the glamorous world of Auto Expo.

I dont know why Toyota has to give us Indians 2 ugly looking cars in the name of Etios. They could have simply given us the beautiful Yaris and Vios (as sold in SE Asia) at the same price. I am sure they would have been an instant hit. I quite liked the Vios when I used to take it from a rental on my long drives out of KL.

Horrible Design, i had put my plans on hold sometime early this year since Toyota was coming up with the ETIOS, still a good move Vento rocks!

Toyota is spending a lot of money and time on Etios and so difficult to accept that their interiors wont be stock "black and beige". They seem to be so anxious to make Etios a success and have openly said they cant make anything more cheaper. I would expect a more acceptable interiors and more importantly a better frontend. The curved bonnect and grill seems so much like Verna.
