Also, we have few pictures from real road conditions. Cars often look so different on road from that we see on a show stand.

Recently saw 2 nos, aria , both white colour but 1 was with black bumpers ,testing on the Amboli ghats. The vehicles look good but found the engines on the noisier side. They were prototypes with sensors stuck at various locations.
cheers

may be they are testing it with an engine to cater to taxi markets.
or may be, they are testing the new 3.0 litre ~200bhp engine everyone has been expecting TATA to develop.

Or could it be the 170BHP engine that Tata is contemplating for the UK market?

rallystar noted that the engine was noisy. so, its fair to assume that it wasn't the 2.2 liter engine as it has got decent levels of refinement or a re-tuned version of the same, which according to rumor mills is capable of producing around 160-165bhp.

i don't think TATA would dare put the 3.0 TDI motor into the Aria.

it has to be a new engine, specifically the new 3.0ltr DICOR which was showcased at Auto Expo. But may be the engine would be de-tuned to output only 170-180bhp.

Now that tata has bought land rover, the interior styling of aria is hugely copied from range rover sport. It has been an old trick of tata to copy designs, but now that LR is technically Indian owned it is sort of okay and moreover people would be able to get RR styling at penny of the original thing.(can't say about the quality though)

RR design....
May be the steering and the vents part..
Quality wont be close.. lest say it ll be good if its 10% rr QUALITY

My only concern is.. What if all the gloveboxes/storage spaces on the roof start to rattle together.. You wont need an ICE anymore...!!!

This is crazy, "what if all gloveboxes/storage spaces on the roof start to rattle together?"
"Oh my God! The sky is falling down! Run", ever heard that before?

For crying out loud, at least wait for the car's launch before ripping it apart. I can bet that it'll be no more a rattle trap than the Swift Dezire (I do see your avatar pic) or the Swift.

The cynicism of some people, even before the car hits the showrooms let alone drive one is amazing

Did the Tata Aria draw inspiration from the Peugeot/Citroen 5008?
Notice the similarities:
- Body shape/size
- External Mirrors
- Green house
- Wheels

Sir,

JLR is owned by Tatas not by any other Indian and they are well within their rights to do whatever they want with their product line, be it copy features or retire their entire product line.
