Does the in-house magazine have a web edition too? If yes, kindly provide the link. In the olden days, TM's in house magazine was called TELCO DEALERS' NEWS of which I still retain a few copies.

That was an hardcopy one... I fear I may not get the rights to the softcopy one. But, let me tell you that works in Voltas.

One small addition to the Aria feature that I have read about (refer earlier posts), that the suspension is fine tuned by Lotus specialists (as in case of MHawk Scorpio).

Pardon me for forgetting about the same in post 585.

Seeing the mHawk handling ( though it is improvement above earlier avatar of Scorpio) I do not think that is a wise thing to mention in promotional material ( even internal) of any new vehicle.

Well amitk26, this is your perception, which could be justified to some extent. But what I see hare is that Aria will offer more of a car-like ride rather than a typical SUV-ish ride which isn't as composed as a car generally (I know, fro personal experience, that Tata vehicles offer good ride comfort).

It better be a fun to drive car (for that size), since typically their cars dont offer much steering feedback.

From the looks of it,I feel its going to be plush, fast highway cruiser rather than being a fun to drive car,Lotus tuned suspension or not. Even the Vista isn't fun to drive, let alone the big Aria!

Big,plush,fast highway cruiser..
Liked that one,but an a/t would be a good thing if aimed at anything higher than innova, but nothing like that offered by tata till now, even a small rumour.No.
C'mon tata speed up the launch. No,am not gonna buy it.Just to read the TD of aci n GTO.

Just spotted a blue(ish) TATA Aria, sporting MH12 TC plates, at Eranhipalam junction (Calicut City) going east. Looked interesting, to say the least. Sorry, no photos as I was in a Passat going North.

Dont mind Tata doing a lot of testing, if rumours of a 10 lac+ pricing is right they have one shot and one shot only at making this a success. Tata is treading into a price zone where the likes of Maruti & Hyundai have struggled in India. Ideally the sooner its in the market the better, but not at the expense of quality.

+1 to that. I am irritated by the delay but to be Aria owners can trade delay for quality.

Tata is already there at the 10 lakh+ price range with Safari which averages at around 900 sales per month.

Immediate thoughts

It is a copy paste of 3 vehicles, the concept is that of an innova, the front lights are a straight lift from the indica albeit a bigger version. The rear is a exact copy of the grand caravan (check attached), and the rear windows are from the honda CRV !!

Tata guys copy well - which I do not really mind, but the problem is that they do not even copy to perfection !! By the time the all the issues are sorted out and ARIA gets settled i the market the toyota's will launch something more phenomenal and TATA's will be on yet another spree of copying the latest version.

All the best TATA's
