Now Mahindra Renault knows what to do to make the Logan look better. Thanks Toyota.

No radical design cues whatsoever. Even interiors.

Even in concept one can make out cost cutting measures.

This car will work well if engine and FE are close to ANHC level.

Yawn, booooring.

The etios, is simply not tempting at all.

Toyota will need to up the game seeing what's coming from Tata these last few months.

This is really boring , uninspiring stuff from Toyota .
Is this supposed to take on the ANHC by any chance ?

+1 to that.

But given Toyota's reputation, if the car is comfy, can seat 5 easily and decently peppy and ofcourse stretches every drop of petrol, then it'll sell in the bucketloads a la Corolla.

In pic #2 in profile it does look like a boot was stuck onto a hatch at the last moment.

Well, if it is a revamped Vios, it is a boot chopped off a sedan to make it into a hatch

What is with the yucky interior colour design, anyways? I hope Toyota read all these posts and does something better for the final product!

Any information on the engine options available on the Etios?

Toyota was missing in the C/C+ segment which gave Honda a good run without much competition till now. This car doesn't look too good compared to AHNC, so I guess Toyota would be able give a stiff competition only if they came out with a diesel option. If its only going to be a gasoline engine then this car may not take the wind out of AHNC sail.

Did I see all new Etios Sedan or Logan upgrade. Hatch looked better.
Looks like the trend of adding boot to the hatch is catching up. Believe Tata started and rest followed. But now Tata has mastered the art, with a better looking Manza.

Toyota is very conservative. they will first launch this model and cream the market for the first 5 years and then launch a new platform based car, by then they would have made sure to extract back all the returns on the investment. On a pure business note, this definitely makes sense.

This looks like a heavily facelifted Logan that too by Toyota! Huh

Etios leg room in the back seat look's to be good. Let's see how good they can price the car.

EDIT - I think this one is little more then 6.5 Right?

That is one honest assessment. Many thanks for a good laugh anil.

Toyota goes on to say that the Etios is for India first and the world next. Makes you wonder why they did not dip in a little bit more and make a few body panels a wee bit more attractive. Cost cutting does not necessarily have to mean drab looking!

Etios :(

Lackluster. Why that grill so broad and so much chrome..

Toyota these days are very much depicting human facial expressions.
Smiling wide - corolla
angry frowning- etios

Toyota Etios = Logan with Indica interiors.
Not at all attractive.

Looks like a cheap mod of the logan with some chrome
Sides lokk like a indigo previous edn and rear end like a logan.

I m disappointed with the design.
Lets wait for the engine experience.

The rear of the Etios looks horrendous. Looks like Toyota's engineers found some spare parts from the Chevy Monte Carlo and stuck it on their "new" car. An integrated 3rd brake light in the chrome spoiler would've looked good.
