@ Mustang: I was merely suggesting, if you have them, then please upload them so that the rest of the 'juntaa' can also see them. As for me, I will most probably going there again, and this time with my camera, so will click loads of them.

Models prepare to get in the newly launched Maruti Suzuki's "Eeco" car as managing director and chief executive officer of Maruti Suzuki India, Shinzo Nakanishi (C, seated) watches at Auto Expo in New Dehi January 7, 2010. Maruti, 54.2 percent owned by Japan's Suzuki Motor Corp, will sell the seven-seater version of Eeco at 275,000 rupees ($6,000), the company said at the Delhi auto show, where it also showcased an electric version of the vehicle.

Great coverage, Rehaan!
Overall, some of the deigns gives an impression that Maruti is seriously looking for a image change. However, some designs gives an impression that we are in a toy showroom. Look at what they did to Swift and WagonR!
Kizashi look gorgeous, though!

Thats an interesting function, Thanks for the explanation!

Like others, I was expecting a new Swift to be launched. I guess they will do that later after all the AutoExpo hubbub has died down to garner headlines.

According to the Eeco brochure that I just picked up from the Chowgule MASS showroom here in Panjim-Goa, the vital stats are as follows:

Length: 3675 mm
Width: 1475 mm
Height: 1800 mm

Wheelbase: 2350 mm
Turning radius: 4.5 metres

* Kerb Weight:

908 kgs (5-seater STD)
928 kgs (5-seater-AC)
923 kgs (7-seater-STD)

* Gross Weight:

1510 kgs (5-seater STD, 5-seater AC)
1540 kgs (7-seater STD)

Ground clearance: 160 mm

* The engine details:

Power: 73 bhp@6000 rpm
Torque: 101 Nm@3000 rpm

* Steering is described as 'Rack & Pinion'. (Does this mean that there is power steering or not?)

* All variants come with tubeless tyres.

* Only one variant -- 5-seater A/C -- has the AC option. Other two models -- 5-seater standard and 7-seater standard -- do not have AC.

* 2 cabin lights (front and rear) in all three models.

According to the Chowgule dealership over here, vehicles are expected to arrive by January end.

Regards,
Melvyn

Great work Rehaan and tsk Thanks a ton.
As many have mentioned already, some of the modded cars should not have been shown at all.

Atlast Maruti had to bring in the smiling models, kudos.

Comparison on Omni, Versa and Eeco.

There seems to be some confusion with the EECO. So is it the 1.2L K series or a G13B reduced to 1.2L for emission?

I read both in the threads.

Versa + a weight reduction of approx 160 KG (63kg on KW + 1 obese passenger) + a loss of 9 bhp + a reduction of 500mm in turning radius = an eagerly anticipated, much discussed new Maruti eeeeco.

Fantastic PR by Maruti.

Its the G13B, isn't it? Hence the low pricing.
