Hi GTO, Great pics, Polo rocks in the silver color. Any clue on the pricing part of it. Heard in the news that they will reveal it only in Feb
The Polo is really a hot hatch. Especially in red! I hope VW prices it correctly. IMO 6.5L for highline will be worth it. The interiors are very upmarket and of superior quality than any of it's competitors.
With the 1.2, is VW going to launch the 1.6, 105PS petrol engine too?
In the Silver car, i do NOT see Beige interiors. Yeah, i like it. But the website doesnt mention the same. Hardluck.
GTO, when do you get to TD this? And of course provide the detailed report?
BTW, thanks for posting these lovely pictures.
Which alloys are we getting on the Polo? The silver car's or the red's or the ones that can be seen on the website?
None of the Polo variants get steering mounted stereo buttons?
Great pics GTO.
Polo has lost some of its sportiness because of the clear headlamps, but never the less its a very beautiful car.
The red car seems to be the Highline variant and the silver one could be Comfortline variant with the optional accessories package.
The 1.6L petrol is coming to India as it is stated in their product brochure.
Been dying to share this one!
Here is what happens when
Ratan Tata visits the VW stall to check out the Polo.

5-7 is a realistic expectation from what we've heard.

Not sure about the alloys, but i can guarantee wheelcaps as shown below :p
Here are the sun-screens mentioned earlier in the thread. They snap onto little clips on the window-frame, not slide up and down like in some cars in the more luxurious segments.
And a closer look at the totally kitted out silver polo :

WOW! Such a beauty!..Such clean lines, clean cuts, no flab, everything neat and perfect. First the Linea, then the GP and now the polo. Europeans seem to have a thing for the design. The Japs seem to design cars like they do their cartoon characters(watching a lot of them with my 5yr old).
I only wish VW would widen their dealer network fast or maybe deal through Maruti network now that they have 20% stake in Suzuki.
This is for sure in Jazz, I20, Fabia category. I dont think Swift and Ritz will have to worry much
Nice pics GTO and Rehaan!!
I love the alloy wheels of all three cars, I wish they provide us option for alloy wheels.
The race polo engine compartment seems to be more complicated.
@Rehaan: where is the spare wheel is placed, because the place were the wheel is placed seems to be occupied by the tray they have.
lol...Tata looking to buy Volkswagen? haha
Looks great.
With that engine, I am not sure if it is exciting. But then only few look at BHP figures. As far as the car has other characterstics like ride, handling, reliability and smoothness, it will sell.
Brilliant pics, Rehaan and GTO. The one with Ratan Tata checking out the Polo was a superb catch, now only if someone would catch Dr. Martin Winterkorn checking out the Nano!!
That is a funny looking gear model.
Anyway coming to the point agreed the build looks solid, but it is no way modern build compared to the likes of Punto and the I20 is what I think.
Except for the price which is still not revealed dont think they can manage to make many heads turn for this model. Looks pretty simple one to me.
though i love this car, but it is disappointing that there are no Clear lens taillights. they look fantastic at night.
Hi Rehaan,
Great special shot. The Motor Vehicles and steel magnet is visiting the other car. Your short timing is great. To day none other than Team Bhp gave as much as our members presented the Auto expo.Visual medias too did not cover well.
