VW has the full brochure of NEW POLO on their website:

http://www.volkswagen.co.in/media/co...o_brochure.pdf

Let's hope this 3-pot engine doesn't become deal breaker for prospective buyers.

Thanks GTO and Rehaan for the excellent VW Polo coverage - simple and clean (like the Polo )

I really love the design and styling.

It looks like there is not much leg room in the back, are these pictures with the front seats pushed back or in the normal position?

Interesting to see the POLO cup being planned, this should be a good boost to motor sport in India.

Good looking car from VW. neat design. This kind of car is lacking from the market as I feel.
polo can easily take away the market share of fabia, jazz and of punto as well.
Common person may not be concerned too much with the 3 pot engine. General public will go for the good looks and neat and clean design. And obviously a badge.
I feel polo will do good to average business around 1500 to 2000 units per months can be achieved. To go beyond that they have to provide good A.S.S and easier to maintain car not very expensive.

Great covergae GTO and Rehaan. Polo looks great, but like GTO mentioned bit I am also bit skeptical about the 1.2L mill, or is it the "DIL MANGAE MORE" factor.

Waiting to get my hands on her

I am also glad that at last we have an alternative to the shoddy & shady Skoda (though they all come from the same family)

If the 1.2 CR diesel can give 30 kmpl as claimed in the German site, it sure will be a segment winner.

great car. I am really looking forward to GTO's review of the 1.2L 3 pot diesel. Will it be the national engine (MJD) killer?

Hope VW prices it well. Thats the only thing that's going to be between them and this car being a huge success in India.

the red car has 17 inch boavista alloys, which are by themselves options in the international market.
what chance of getting those as options here? (think smaller than a fly's arse!)
The India spec brochure shows 15 inch Castille alloys.
This is one of the reasons why the India spec looks so plain jane.. the details like the alloys, chrome, smoked lenses all add up.
Polo cup edition is running international spec headlight cluster, but India spec tail-lights.
So there's a lot of mix and match going on here.
I am going to wait till this is in a showroom and then see what you actually get for your money.

Oh well, there seem to be enough people salivating at the prospect of the 3-pot Fabia engine...

If priced well(unlike the Jazz pricing which some senior VW Officials were referring to), Polo may become a big success.

Somehow felt the interiors looked a bit drab.
No display for the temperature and guess a digital fuel indication display.

Looks really cool. Umm, am going to be itchy to change my 10 year old Matiz, which is still doing a great job for me.

Stupid question, but where is the engine temperature display in all this? Or is it not necessary?

I feel VW are not known to price cars for less. I feel they might be closer to Jazz. Between, i feel looks of polo is getting older, i am not thrilled with this look of Polo.
