Tata Prima and Indica sport at the Expo(and some misc)

Though an old concept, its a very bold design, and maybe the stepping stone for Tata into the Upper C/Lower D segment
The dedicated thread here
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...ury-sedan.html

At the expo, it got overshadowed by launches and all.

another concept was the Indica Vista Sport. It may never see the light of the day(just like older indica sports)
Not as extreme as the 300BHP racing indica of the expo 08, its actually a practical car, which has the chasis and looks to be a worthwile contender to hot hatch throne

Other than that, there was no new safari, just chrome alloys on the safari instead of the brushed metal look.
Looks like safari will continue in current avatar with the 2.2 BS IV intercooled EGR version coming in april.

The exterior design of Vista Sport looks promising - and if these little cues are brought in the regular Vista there will surely be more takers.

Any idea if the speedo is still in the centre even in the Sport version?

Thanked: Once

The Prima seems to have drawn some inspirations from Jags

Prima looks really good. The front though is a little puny. Hope TATA takes one segment at a time and does put some effort at trying to match the respective benchmarks.

Pr1ma would look better if

1) They fix the front grill
2) Reduce the length by a couple of inches

It has some awesome lines. Bold design indeed!

thanks tanveer. I saw the drawing on the tata site, was wondering what it looks like.

Tata, Please! Even if you dont add the bling, at least bring out a hot hatch vista with the wheels/suspension/engine from the manza, just like you did with the indica turbo. It just might help you gain some more crediblity as a premium hatch, in a segment which is about to get a lot tougher

Slightly OT, but Tata has such beautiful design, fit and finish as well for its concept cars which even companies like Toyota doesnt seem to have. M&M tho, lesser said better.

If they could bring this to the consumer, even at a higher price, it should move like hot cakes.
