Vow! 205/65/16 is a really big size (even bigger than SX4, which is 205/60/16). If this is correct, then may be Linea T-Jet will have better GC than current Linea. Current Linea has 195/60/15 tires, which means Outer Diameter of 615mm, whereas T-Jet with the above mentioned tires will have the OD of 672.9mm, which is really big.

So is this Fiat's answer to the GC concerns of the prospective Linea buyers?

I believe the tire size to be 205/55/16 instead of 205/65/16 as the 55 profile with the 16 inch wheels still increase the GC by about 5 mm.

Wow! Atlast something I can show to my wife to prove that the Punto 90hp really exists and is not a figment of my imagination!

Is there some info in the issue about the expected pricing as well?

They have called it the Punto 90HP and it doesn't look like the Sport on the cover. Wow! Can we read something into that? I need to get that ACI issue on my hand ASAP.

Please Fiat, upgrade the entire Punto range with the VGT and not only a Punto Sport variant.

Finally! This is really great news. The SP from a local showroom has been after me to buy the 75BHP Punto when I told him I wanted to wait for the 90BHP one. He was trying to convince me telling me that 'NOBODY' knows when it will come.

Sorry Sir, Exhaust gases from the engine run the turbine which is coupled with a compressor, which in turn compresses the intake air into the manifold.

It increases the volumetric efficiency of the engine rather than supplying power to the flywheel of the engine.

Everything else was nicely explained in lay man's terms. Kudos for that.

Probably he is telling the truth! Test drive doesn't mean that the product is going to be launched in next few weeks. It may take months also!! (Hopefully not years). I am bold all over by Punto and bring it on Fiat soon.

autocar says the expected price is 6.8 lakh but the difference in acceleration is marginal in the city .the major difference is felt when it is driven on highway .

Just read the Autocar piece on first drive of 90 BHP VGT Punto. Disapponting. They say the in gear figures are more or less the same as regular Punto. However 0-100 time is around a second and a half less less and 0-120 is 3.4 seconds lesser than the regular Punto. So if you drive it flat out, then its better.
