nope! its not a ABARTH , its a Punto sporting(top end model in UK and elsewhere). A Abarth model will not carry a fiat logo . This particular AD might be from BRAZIL.

Its a European version and not UK as its left hand drive and that too its a two door hatch!

yes thats why i said punto sporting is sold in UK and "elsewhere (includes europe)", and as i had said it might be from Brazil(it might not be called punto sporting there) too!

Saw Fiat Punto CNG at the Auto expo 2010 and Fiat did announce plans to launch this in India by Q1 of 2010.

Searched a lot but no update / news on this variant, as yet.

Read in some European site, that Fiat is the largest manufacturer of CNG cars in the whole of Europe and the technology is bifuel - CNG + petrol.

Can anyone closely associated with Fiat check any update / progress on this variant's launch, as i am seriously inclined towards company fitted CNG (tank within the spare tyre area and with direct injectors in engine for CNG supply) vis - a -vis the Diesel.

Also others suggestions on CNG vs Diesel with pros and cons, would be appreciated.

I am currently working abroad and do not have access to the Linea advertisements in India (print or TV). I have been interested in the Linea Dualogic/ Absolute, but do not see any details or announcement of this on their Indian website. Can anybody with relevant information please provide an update on the expected timeframes of the launch? I would like to take care of any lead time in obtaining delivery of the vehicle. I guess I am too convinced about buying this one!
Also, to be a bit greedy for information - is there an estimate available for OTR price in Pune for Dualogic/ Absolute Emotion + pack, assuming this will be the same term used for the Dualogic too. I will need that to negotiate with my employers for an appropriate car loan

I dont think the variant you mentioned is launched in India. From what I read in some of the Indian websites, the new Linea variant could be launched somewhere in June.

FIAT had displayed Dualogic at Auto expo but i doubt if they are going to launch it soon here! no news or scoops about it.

Currently the news is that the Linea T-Jet would be launched here with 1.4L ~110 BHP engine around June!

May be during Fiat Punto Sports launch ( rumored to be next month) FIAT might give out some details of their future launch!

Spotted 3 Linea 1.4 T-Jet's in Pune undergoing testing. Seems the launch is pretty soon.

How did I infer that they were T-Jets?

Good find! One small doubt. Is T-Jet the same FIRE engine with a Turbo?

Doesent the T-Jet have a shark fin as opposed to an antenna. Please correct me if I am wrong. The tyres do seem to be a bit wider than the current linea though. Even the spoiler seems to be missing
