Thanks, unfortunately is hard to find data of car sales in India for each brand. There is a site that collects each month?

Gone through all the threads, very surprising to see we dont have any clue on the month in which the new Linea T jet would launch? I'm waiting for Linea T jet, did a test drive of Fiesta 1.6S and loved it. Need to check out Linea so make a final decision.

just spoke to the dealer, and he still is maintaining that the linea t-jet would be launched somewhere in august/september.

though the good news is that he expressed that in july the punto sport would be launched. early july that is. hope it happens and we don't end up counting chickens before they hatch!

I heard the same from a dealer here in Hyderabad. He said June/ July for the Punto Sport.

I asked him if he knew what the car is getting and he smiled and said, "Sports stickering rahega".

The worrying part is that the dates keep getting pushed ahead. How long can a person wait? I would like to make a decision by September to avail of depreciation benefits.

Two Bangy dealers have confirmed that Punto S will be launched in July. But still you never no!

Fiat Grande Punto Sports Launch Postponed

Even when they say the June 17 deadline will not be met, their 'early July' speculation doesn't seem to quote any reliable source.

90hp punto is supposed to be launched on first july (not the sports one) and the linea Tjet a month later.

How reliable is this site? I, for one, would be happy to see Punto 90hp non-sports version with the current Emo Pack trim.

alright guys, just got a call from the dealership. the guy said that there is one significant launch in july as informed by FIAT India. It's the Palio with a 1.3 MJD.

now that is one name we had completely forgotten in the recent past. How do they plan to sell it?? well simply on the price front. Palio 1.3 MJD would be retailed at 2.99 Lacs ex-showroom**. BEAT that!!!

** kindly confirm it with your dealerships first. got this news from one dealer. would be calling up a few more around Indore for confirmation.

If that is true, FIAT is really thinking of taking over the small car market. It will be raining Palios if they do that. I gues they have recovered all theire Die costs, etc to be selling it at such a pricepoint. That will be a 15k difference to the Alto which is also petrol! The size and looks.. way better than the Alto. And what will be the fate of the low end Indicas?

Time for another price war!!

You've been misinformed. Palio is about to be phased out. To clear existing stock and Work in Progress cars, Fiat had announced the Palio Dhamaka scheme in late May whereunder Palio Stile 1.1 BS-III was being offered for Rs 2.99 ex showroom IIRC. Ex showroom price of MJD BS-III was Rs. 4.10 lacs IIRC. This is not a launch but the exact opposite of that!
