This is TJet. Current 1.4 FIRE is 90@6K RPM.

Great news, wildon! Regardless of power specs, the current Linea 1.4 is not Turbo. These specs say 1.4 and TURBO, so this is definitely (the long awaited) T-jet. Can you please share some more details on how soon is soon, and some more information on these models, if you have any?

Today, I got a fuzzy response back from my "ask the CEO" mail, saying the TJet will be launched in "the 2nd half of 2010" LOL

This is indeed fuzzy, but if we take the most optimistic view of the 2nd half of 2010, then it is less than a month away ;-))

Anyways, echo77, in reference to our discussion on "sedans comparison" thread, I believe this one (T-jet) has the potential to not only top the comparison charts, but also to solve our dilemma of choosing a sedan. What do you say?

The T-Jet has been a long wait, if Fiat can price it properly, it would indeed become the strongest contender in it's class.

With Fiat's reputation (even now), it's going to be hard to catch up with Honda, but I certainly hope that they do.

Yes, I am definitely waiting for it. I don't want a sour grapes Linea a month before the tjet is out

Speculation has been August or early September. I had made it clear in my mail to them that I want it before depreciation month is over.

There are several reports (some from reliable sources) indicating that Punto Sports will be launched in the first half of July 2010.

I'm hoping those reports are true. Here in Mumbai, none of the dealers seem to have a clue about the Punto Sport/VGT. And friends from Delhi seem to have met a similar response. Which either points to pretty convincing salesmanship across the board or a genuine lack of any knowledge on the matter, from the dealers end.

Still, Im praying that the July launch actually materialises.
