DC Design at the Auto Expo

DC had a three cars on display at the Auto Expo .
They were unvieled by Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi .
The first was the Imperator concept .
It was big and had lot of bling .
The second was a modded Innova .
The third was the YingYang mini bus/van which seems to be based on Winger but am not sure of that . IMHO this was his best design.

Mods , please merge this thread if one already exsists.

Thanks for the pics!

Personally, the bus seems built on a VW platform and for a change kinda looks good ... if you can discount the macabre red seats and the highlight for the headlamps (looks more like an alpenlibe design statement).

The rear view side mirrors however looks out of shape with the geometric proportions of the bus.

The single piece kinda of side glass windows looks good. Any images of the driver side, inside, back etc.

About the SUV+MUV+god knows what, less said the better.

Did not see images of the Innova though? Can we????

DC was boasting that they have recieved about 300 order () orders for it.

Okie there are people who still subsist to his ideas...god save them!!

The mini bus was indeed designed from a winger. Could not get a glance at the interiors though. Looked very VWish.
The innova was good. It was simple and elegant (something anti-DC). But 300 orders for a 4.95 lakh job is surprising.
And about that humongous monster, personally i liked it. It was weird but the quality was top notch. The wheels were HUGE. The interiors were very classy, and the leg space, i could actually seat a St. Bernard on the floor of the rear seat very comfortably.
But at a price tag of 3 crores (given by a DC representative) i would be happier with a Gullwing.

The microbus is good - really good, so some circuits in his brain are still getting juice.

i seriously doubt the number DC gives for the orders they receive. With such horrible designs who with normal brains would want to spend their hard earned money on it ? Plus i hardly see any of these on roads atleast in mumbai. Not sure if they come out in the middle of the night

The DC mini bus exterior looks good but the interiors are dull and uninspiring.Seems like he ran out of ideas for the interiors.

The Innova interiors are fine, but I really doubt 300 orders part.

there is full page article on Zigwheel of Bangalore TOI edition of Banaglore about the Yingyang. it says ying yang is going to cost between 40 to 50 lakhs.

Mod looks neat. Paint job too is good. First time i am seeing some thing decent looking from DC.i liked it some what.

i would rather buy some German car rather than buying this for 50L

50 Lakhs? Not worth the effort. you are right we are better off with a proper vehicle than buying a winger for that amount. I thought 4.95 Lakhs and 300 orders were for this yingyang only, lol and I was tempted into being the 301 for a moment.

4.95 lakhs is for the mods on the Innova which is not bad at all IMO. Buy an Innova for say 9 lakhs, add this package and you have customized Innova for 14 lakhs. Not a bad option for those looking a chauffeur driven office on wheels. I have seen this new Innova package up close and personal and I must say its a very well executed job. Nothing is done to the exterior except a nice set of alloys.
