The question is, when will come and will it come too late for the party? More importantly, will it keep the crown for handling? If yes, I'll be one to buy cos I for one never liked the dated looks of the current model in spite of loving the driving experience.

Guess you are right,I saw an ad of Ford Fiesta limited (probably 2 weeks) at 5.2 or something like that with a 1.4 Petrol engine and I was like wasnt this engine discontinued?

Ford has brought out too many limited editions diluting the concept of a limited edition. But still it would make sense for a buyer who is on the look out right now because he always get a product which is at least marginally limited from what the rest bought earlier. It is not going to help resale of the mainstream product or limited edition anyway.

One thing ford has realized is there is no use launching limited editions with 2 stripes running from front to back in along the center of the car. I am relieved about this as I dont have to see those odd looking cars on the road!

Sure, thanks. I read on this forum that the Verna is just a bigger and newer Accent but Hyundai calls it Verna in India because it wants to sell both of them side by side in the same showroom and not want you to know this.

I guess this is a pretty good price for a stomping 1.6L, good handling car. How much is the cost difference between this and a regular EXI? Is is really better value? Or is it just a badging?

The small print says that this price is for the 1.4 (diesel) version only.

Thats a change in the Ltd editions which Ford brings out every now and then. Earlier only 1.6 petrols were offered in Mumbai & North India whereas 1.4 was offered to South India.
Taking a cue from the recent fuel hikes and Mumbai being the worst affected, I guess thats a good move from Ford introducting a Diesel Ltd Edition. Should see good nos considering the Indian apetite for Diesel and mileage.

In bangalore the OTR for the same is 8.2 lakhs. Good deal for those looking for a entry level driver's diesel sedan. I almost bought one. The seat fabric was pretty good - IMO better than the ZXi variant. nice and plush - won't get stained easily like the beige upholstery in the ZXi.
