No limited Edition does not come with ABS. it is in fact the entry level variant EXi with some goodies of ZXi.

I was suprised to see Ford offering Limited editions of Diesel in Maharashtra, not all parts but a select few cities. This was not the case last year ltd editions or for that matter at the start of 2010.
Attached is the list of cities with prices where the Ltd editions are being offered. This file is available on Ford India website.

Mods if you think this is not right, pls remove the attachment.

The fiesta accessories may vary from state to state. I have attached the price list of the accessories which I got from the Thane Ford Dealer. Hope this helps.

Was surprised to see a TOI ad for LE Fiesta 1.6 for Bangalore (and probably for whole of S.India, not sure though).

On checking, these are the details i got from Metro Ford, Palace cross road :

Price - 7.26L (OTR including 3rd year warranty).
Variant - EXi + goodies

Surprised, since S.India does not get 1.6 LEs, usually.

Till now it had been 1.4 as LE's in Southern states and 1.6 for western and Northern states. I guess Ford India must have changed their strategy looking at the demand in the southern states.

Did Metro Ford give any specific reason for the offering?

Re: Limited Edition Ford Fiesta 2010

This may be a little off topic but I desperately need the experts advice here..I am planning to buy a used ford fiesta classic(durotorq). I have shortlisted 2 cars and need the experts to advice on both the deals..

1. Mumbai registered Feb 2009 Classic durotor SXI ABS(Top End) 35k running, costing arnd 5.3 owned by a close friend
2. Mumbai registered Sep 2010 classic durotor EXI limited edition. 12k running costing arnd 5.6. 1 year extended warranty

Both are white color and very well maintained.

Thanks in advance!

If I was in your position then I would have opted for the one with ABS, even if that costed couple of bucks more.

This would have been my ideal choice since Sxi comes with all goodies and plus safety like ABS and Airbags. You would also get the Ford Alloys with Sxi. Exi is an entry level variant and is totally bare, although you would benefit by the low running on the odo.

I would too go with the top end SXI with ABS. Personally i always go with the top end models loaded with all safety features.
