well like i posted earlier, iguess honda proved me wrong.they have finally decided to launch the honda city vtec.it will coincide with their facelifted city when launched in november.there is no change in displacement but instead of two valves per cylinder that it currently has,the new new city will have 4 valves per cylinder.there will be no change in dimensions except that it will get 15" wheels with low profile tyres.the engine will produce 110bhp and will have disc brakes all around to tame those horses.also the weight has increased by 45kgs tipping the scale at 1060kgs.the price range wud be between 8-9lacs.so that wud present a power to weight ratio of 103.7bhp/tonne.woohoo thats like awesome.maybe even a 0-100 in 8sec.....old vtec owners ur days r over(no offense)....

Firstly i would like to say that the old Vtec will be having a better Power to weight ratio then the Newer Vtec so there is not chance of the New Vtec to beat the older one! Also how can it reach 0 - 100 in 8secs the RS takes more time then that?

The older engine was also 110bhp but die to poor fuel produced only 106! Is that true?

Old Vtec engine was rated for 120bhp in Singapore and Thailand. Rating was reduced for India due to fuel issues.

The new City looks aggressive donning 15" alloy wheels, dual horns and a print-type radio antenna. The 1.5 City VTEC variant also carries a new suspension, increased high speed range and strengthened support arm bracket. Improved engine sound and brake pedal sensation, meanwhile add not only to its sporty image, but safety as well

hey a query for the OHC Vtec owner ...
the OHC Vtec in the south asian market came with a stiffened suspension ..
was it the same with the indianOHC VTEC?
As far as i know, the supension setup of the City 1.5 and the Vtec are the same. What really made the diff was the wheel size and the tyre profile.

If both cars were to have the same wheel and tyre size, there' wouldn't be any diff in the way they handled.

Acceleration ofcourse, is a completely diff story, heh

Thats great news. But i seriously doubt this car will do better(performance & sales) than the OHC Vtec. The only factor that might go against it would be the exteriors.
