Damn maruti should not do this! Atleast ABS is expected on a car of its size! The Accent has it and all hyundais also have it! Atleast they should have kept it optional!

Same Old car with cosmetic changes is what Maruti is good at!

Strange thing is that although we have snaps of the car and T-BHPians have seen it at dealerships, Maruti still has not come out with advertisements. Neither have they updated the site.

Dealers out here still do not have a confirmed list of features on the VXi.

Strange ... what is Maruti waiting for ?

erm...he..he..sorry, nope, they weren't; in fact, the dealer wasn't from maharashtra....

veyron ,
U sure thats the new baleno
yup; actually, even the dealer was expecting changes in line with the swift; but he was disappointed too, as only the climatronic was the "major" upgrade...

Thanks for the pics !
A few questions if I may .. and if you had noticed !....
whoopsie..sorry, i didn't happen to notice all the stuff, since i was trying to pick out the damn "upgrades" (mechanical, of course)...but now that you mention it, i shall inquire and post, if you want the info...

Altura will be discontinued.
errr...ms, i'm not a 100% on this, but i think the altura discontinued production way back in late '04..... the altura was never actually "in" production since 04; was a made-to-order kind of thing like the gypsy king....

Of course, it's not from Maharashtra... The instrument console pic says it all... the Swift lined up ahead has a Gujrat temp registration...!

Talking of the Swift .. now that the Baleno VXi has 185/65 R14 .. would it be possible to fit the Swift ZXi alloys on the Baleno ?

Yes it would be! But why would you want to do that! THe baleno VXi does come with 10spoke alloys!

Mumbai dealers have started quoting for NMB. Ex-showroom cost has gone up +13k; discounts have gone down -20k. Net effect: +33k

The 9/10 spoke alloys in @Veyrons pic looks too much like wheel caps .. at least in the snap ..

And the ZXi alloys are chunkier .. they'll probably look better with wider tyres ..

How much do you think would Maruti charge to exchange the OEM alloys with the ZXi alloys ?

In Mumbai, there are some dealers having stock of pre-mod version. Is there a possibility that any of these units could one of those damaged during the deluge in Mumbai? Though it is long time since the event occurred, but they could have kept the damaged units in abeyance. The dealer is ready to disclose the dispatch invoice date, but can they trick? Guys, what should I do?

Thanks
