Guys

Does anyone have confirmation on the launch dates?

From what i heard, the launch isnt expected this month. Though wonder what will happen after the end of current discount period ( 18th sep is last date for the current discount, might get extended to end of month if launch is in first week of october )...

thoughts?

The brochures will be available from the 18th onward (translated new look pictures), but deliveries will take place only around October

As long as OTR hovers around the 6L mark , they'll be fine w.r.t the competition .. current OTR for LXi is around 6.5 (without any discount) .. don't think they'll reduce the ex-showroom by 50K .. maybe 20k at most .. come to think of it .. by how much did they reduce esteem ex-showroom prices ?

All New Baleno! Fall In Love really?

Though the New Baleno was on the way the New Esteem was not great, and the Zen was made yuk, The Alto like yikes. I think i could have done a better job, they just added clearlens and changed bumpers, coloured the dials and the DASH! :WTF: Only the WagonR was better done but stripped off some features! Quality went low in Esteem along with the price! So is it with the Baleno! By the way Optra doesnot compeit with baleno! Optra OTR price is 8.5 Lacs for Base. So i guess its a no bargainer!

Its a game of wait and watch! Guys lets hit baleno site often to see when its been updated!

Individual perceptions I guess !
I quite liked the new Esteem , barring the 'teeth-baring' look of the front grill .. somehow like the look of the new Alto too .. compared to the outgoing model .. WagonR .. never liked the look of the car in any of its avatars ..
Zen .. yes , now that has become yuk !

Weren't there recent ad's of the Optra 1.6 at 7.09 ex-showroom till, I think 30th Sep ?

If the Baleno is being given away with big discounts, it simply means 2 things.

1. The new Baleno will not just be a lip/tail make-up, but will have some new features as well.
2. It will be aggressively priced as well (may be the same as the current Baleno)

Maruti wants to do another 'swift' in this category. Expect a long queue for booking Baleno.

Looks like maruti is on a refresh mania that started with the Zen.

After Baleno, only Gypsy and Versa are left waiting for makeup session.

Those cars are not going to see the light of the makeup! They are going to be closed and newer cars on swift platform will be launched! Esteem has got temporary makeup and will be fazed out so will the Baleno with the launch of the Liana! Its already 18th today! Hit the Maruti sites!

If they do up the Baleno, then IMO it should be here for the next 5 years at least ..

Hmmm .. 19th today .. all quiet on the Maruti front ..

Post 18th Sep, the sales scheme for the Baleno has a lesser discount .. thats strange ...

Now they are giving free insurance and 15K discount .. instead of the 28K MGA scheme .. this is now valid till 30th Sep ..

what are they upto ?
