the KA 42 (temporary registration of that car) is of Bidadi, where Toyota's plant is.

I think: displaying at the auto expo is to create curiosity and interest among fans and potential buyers. But if the car is sighted on the road often, it will lose its 'all new' USP.

Looks like they have to test the AC !
Nice scoop. The sedan has rear lights similar to Logan, they could have made the hatch have a better look.
OT: One interesting thing is that it looks too bland for a Hyundai (tells how better Hyndais have become)

nice scoop of the etios hatch. Looks like the hatch is just the sedan with the boot flattened. The tail-lamps, lower portions of the hatch cover look exactly like the sedan lamps and boot gate. Not impressed with the design.

It definitely is the Toyota Etios. Looks really bad IMO. the Figo being a gen older looks much better.

The tail lamps and the rear treatment reminds me of a Logan. Still its OK nothing great but just a typical, safe conservative Toyota effort.

The looks are not latest in the likes of i20, punto etc. Since Toyota is known for their supreme quality they can easily penetrate the market if they do not choose the honda-jazz way..

I don't think Toyota will go the Honda way with the pricing of Etios. I guess Etios will have far more locally made components, compared to Jazz.

This is toyota Etios, but the looks have changed a bit from what we had seen in the AutoExpo.
Now they have a chrome strip running just below the rear window.
I guess they are going the Swift & Dezire way.

The cars spotted in Bangalore and Chennai are running the same plates - what could this mean ?

My view is that these are probably not Indian made cars but imported ones still doing some kind of preliminary testing

@supremeBaleno - how big is the hatch as compared to say a Swift or Getz ?

Looking at it i assume that Toyota want to keep this car (sedan model) in 7 - 8.5 Lk range. we all know that current cars in this segment not making good numbers.

Hmm. Same size or maybe a wee bit smaller, as I recollect.

The Boot integration on the Hatch is much much better than that of the Manza or the Dzire.
