Buying a second hand Palio 1.2 nv

Hi BHPians,

After almost a year of research, I have finalised on buying the Palio 1.2

Can u guys help me out with ur tips on buying a used palio? also the price range that I can expect in Mumbai ?

You got into the Palio trap. Any one does lots of research will end up in buying Palio/Petra. Samething happened to me. But I am very happy for making that decision.

Before starting a long drive I pray GOD, after the drive I will thank FIAT for creating a wonderful machine with all the luxury and goodies of C-segment cars and that too buyable by a Middle class people.

If you are in Metro, ASS is not an issue. In Chennai I don't see any issue.

In Mumbai you can get a used Palio (2 to 3 years old) at excellent condition for 2 lakhs to 2.5 lakhs.

Welcome rajeshnb! Last weeks times drive quoted 1.05L for the 1.2 for 2001 model! But a good one wil lcome around 1.5L You can get a GTX for Rs. 1.8L. however i doubt you will find a NV this time around!

Thanks for the info guys...Could u suggest me abt the mileage and year of manufacture?

As per reviews on many sites, Palio cars should not be very old and the odometer should be clocked at around 20-30k

I was looking out for 1.2 ELX but from many postings it looks like the 1.6 GTX would also be a good deal.

Also any important things that I should specially look out for while buying a used Palio?

Even im looking for a Palio 1.2, i was quoted 1.75 lakh for a 2002 july 1.2 ELX at automartindia delhi outlet. Is the price correct??
And what abt the service n spares? What abt the fuel average?
I dont care too much abt the fuel average as long as it is 11-12 kpl/litre without ac and 10-11 kpl with ac.... should not be in single figures. I drive decently with a very light foot... what mileage should i expect from the car.

Hi Buddy

My name is abishek i have a palio 1.2 sport i get a milleage of 12-13 in the city without AC.On the Highway max that i received was 14-16.trust me the car is worth it ....its gem.....
