It is a test vehicle (see the red TC plate), mostly a prototype for exports.

Only American citizens can buy and use TATA LHD vehicles in Tamil Nadu.

All Tata 4x4 Safaris & Xenons come with rear LSD. Shame on Mahindra :-)

I am sure they will do the Mahindra Great Escape with ease.

Sorry, Spike. Couldn't control myself.

Spike, wake up from slumber. The statement is not true for new Mahindra products, no matter how mighty or muscular.

http://xenon.tatamotors.com/fla/asse...on_2.2L_en.pdf This is what is available online but still no mention of ABS. I suggest asking local TML people directly.

Xenon is a small truck cum SUV (?). But we Indians are really not used to such type of vehicles for sure. I saw one in dark gray or black in Pune. It looked really awesome with Alloy wheels. It was going really fast with ease. It was totally different vehicle on the road & everyone was watching it. Unfortunately it didnt sell at all :(

Thanks, but seen this one. Am looking for the 2010 one.

Have already asked prerna, concorde & kht.
No one has the brochure, let alone a TD vehicle.

Its May already, and these chaps dont have the brochure :O
I should get the hint and chuck the idea.

How many vehicles were you expecting it to sell and how many does it sell?
Yes, it is a niche vehicle targeted at a select clientèle. As a matter of fact TML launched the 2010 version is add-ons and improvements. No manufacturer will do that if it was not selling well. Don't expect every vehicle to sell like the Maruti Hatchbacks.

The Xenon is primarily for the South African and Thai market but TML has launched it here more as a showcase to their product portfolio rather than to be a mass seller. Heck they don't even promote it through any product/ event based promotion. Actually the vehicle has been received well and there is a 30 day waiting on it. The market is maturing and so are needs of the consumers.

P.S: I read your other thread about funny incidents as well. Just a friendly advice, you may want to have a re-look at your tone.

If only it was feasible to add a third row seat in the load area, and the airconditioning be made to reach there. It would infact sell in higher numbers than it currently does. No, Sumo Grande will not do.

Absolutely right mate. If , I could get an SUV version of the Xenon with 4x4, it would be my first choice.

And to think i had to raise my voice at the dealer in my city to convince that tata sold a 4x4 xenon. they were insisting there was only 4x2drive. otherwise it woluld have been in my garage now.
