Circuses have always fascinated us all. The acrobatics, the animals, the euphoria... it's some sort of a magical world. But what has fascinated me the most are the motor vehicles modified and used in our circuses. I have seen several posts on vehicles in India on TeamBhp. . But somehow I never came across one on the vehicles used in circuses.

The only vehicle that has any reference to circuses in our indian context is the jawa moped - fondly known as KARADI JAWA. That's because one version of the story behind the name says that - the moped was used for performances by trained bears to ride around the circus ring. However there's also another story is that the appearance of the vehicle gave its name (KARADI means bear in Tamil).

From that viewing distance, the only distinguishable character to identify a vehicle is its sound. But circus vehicles have modified exhausts that make even that difficult/near impossible.

The acts like well/globe of death, tight-rope motorcycle + acrobat are some of the most memorable.

Can anyone shed light on this?
