Which car has the best looking backside?

The poll was started at a point of time when the Fuidic Verna was not released.

Also initially in the poll the Punto did not exist so early voters who wanted to vote for the Punto voted for the Linea.

Yep Linea and Punto do have the smartest butt, but new fiesta, new verna not being in the list also the Swift that people have voted for is the older one.

So feel for the above reasons the poll should be locked or a new one started allowing all to vote for rear ends of 2012.

+1 to ACM. Fluidic Verna is one of the most creative giniuses in the automobile world. In a new poll my vote would go for ANFV !

+1 to that. This thread should be locked or replaced with a new one. I just voted for Verna thinking that this was a recent poll

Since very long time I strongly felt that the Esteem has the best looking backside and if you follow this car on a good highway it just looks floating and it just looks awesome.
But what makes it look the best, those three stripes of the reverse light. They have that classic appeal.

Now after a very long time, I am seriously impressed by another car's derriere, and that is Mobilio.
I don't know why but everything looks just perfect on this car as far as the backside is concerned.

Last night I was following the Merc CLA Class on NH2. Man, what a slick looking butt!

The LED taillamps are drool stuff once the sun sets in, almost every other person on the road takes a second look at the gorgeous taillamps. Very different arrangement, but in no way weird.

On a strict budget, I doubt if any manufacturer produces better neat looking designs (mostly taillights) than Chevrolet. The Aveo, Optra, Beat, Cruze and the Sail, all have a brilliant and neat design.

From the newer cars, I quite like the new Baleno from the back, especially at night with those tail-lights in action. The car looks nice with the squat looks just like the A-Class. The only thing I would change is that chrome garnish, IHMO it is just not needed, better to keep the rear clean.

I agree. The back of the kite sedan is good looking. I have seen the car in the Auto expo and to me it looks even more beautiful on flesh than on photographs. In fact the kite sedan is one of the most good looking contemporary cars.

Yes for sure the Tata Kite Sedan will make it's debut in this thread, the integration of the boot is very neat when compared to others. What I think is, it will look much more appealing from the side rather than the rear because of the pulled back C-pillars. Tata's have the best looking compact sedan, the Indigo CS, soon the Kite Sedan will be another addition to that.

Best Backside would have to be the BMX X7 for me. It looks like a beast, appears sturdy as a tank, a very macho look

Second to that would be the new E-Class, very appealing backside!

At its time, and for me even now Fiat Palio is one of the best and apparently that slanted upwards hatch door looks have been copied by the baleno designers too
Linea rear too bcoz from the back side it gives you look of a much more expensive car
Other fav back sides would be old Skoda octavia and the OHC
I love simple elegance
