The base model seems to be very bare. EX model will appeal to the masses while ZX is the real VFM I feel. Ford are back with a bang indeed. As for the IPL thing, I heard they are tying up with the Chennai Super Kings! Figures since their factory is nearby!
The front grill however reminds me of a frog. Don't know why!

Great scoop sid! Pricing looks spot on and given the trim options, i'm sure its catering to most price points.

This looks like a cut and paste mistake of US design.

Not sure what else will be a problem with this car. people purchasing this car in next 6 months time can expect more surprises.

The bonnet release is on passenger side, and not boot release. Apologies for the false alarm.

In Fiesta, only the bonnet release lever is in the passenger side. So they creating history by placing boot release also in passenger side in Figo.
So it becomes that the Bonnet and boot release will be under the control of the Passenger
Worst is that children seated in the front passenger seat is going to play with the boot release button

This is not a mistake. Electronic boot release is on the driver's side only. The same is present even in Fiesta. I am 100% sure that it should be in the same in Figo too.

However, the front bonnet release is on the passenger's side in Fiesta and I assume the same thing in Figo.

Electronic boot release is a boon to me at least. Without it, I would have getting out of the car in scorching heat at least 4-5 times on a avg everyday for security checks everywhere (office, housing complex, malls, restaurants, etc)

We need to avoid small children seating in front seat.
Otherwise they can have plenty of things to play with - gear lever, hand brake, door lever, etc.
@Moderators: I mistakenly posted back to back posts. Otherwise, I would have posted them in 1 only.

Oh! i din't think of the security checks nowadays. It did not occur to me because 1. i am not in the IT sector and 2. I live in Chennai, where rarely, if ever, i remember opening the boot for a security check.

Yes now that you guys point it out, it seems a very good

Car manufacturers in India are selling ABS like a luxury feature. Its an important safety aspect and it should not be restricted to only buyers with deep pockets. There are many who would not be interested in climate control, but would want ABS.But unfortunately there is no such option but to spend more and get a higher variant.

Please refer to the interior picture in GTO's Figo review.
Specifically, the one with the steering.
http://www.team-bhp.com/carpics/ford...rd_figo_02.jpg
You can clearly see the boot release located conveniently on the dash, to the right of the steering (as far away from the passenger side as possible), in a similar manner as is there in the Fiesta.
If you can't spot it, look between the driver's A.C. vent and the instrument cluster that is housing the tacho, speedo, and trip meter.
This is one of the most convenient locations for the boot release, as one would not have to bend around looking for the boot release.

I came to know from another forum that Figo site is updated with all detailed and confimerd specs/colors/features etc and is also available at showrooms and yeah, figo.in is not opening maybe because of heavy traffic which happened with A-Star site earlier...
