Could not agree more with you kiku. Why did they put the cars in showrooms if it is not launched? just to fuel the hype and speculations? why did they show the car back in september? they could have announced it in december and 'launch'ed in march. do not get the fuss!

Going by the above price list of all variants; mass market will embrace this car. I think ford will also need to show the same promise with after sales service. Such a move will provide buzz, excitement and interest for all their future releases; especially fiesta hatch is around the corner.

This is the same info which we know, the site has just added tax and insurance to the rumoured prices (3.6-4.5, 4.5-5.45), anybody could have done that. let's just wait till tuesday to know it once and for all, instead of this endless speculation.

The petrol is 1.2L 4-cyl one, a bit noisy though, not as smooth as the K-series or Kappa.
The diesel is the same 1.4 tdci as in Fiesta

Becos it has safety feature like ABS and Airbag

Looks like the taxation is not correct. Tax depends on Base price of the car. like 10% of the base value. It applies for all the model.

In Tamil Nadu, the Life tax is the 8% of the invoice value of the vehicle plus road safety tax of Rs.2,000/-. The registration fees is Rs 200/-. This is what goes to the government. Almost all dealers charge some service charges to do this job which differs dealer to dealer and place to place.

The LTT is fixed percentage which is added to the ex-showroom price of the car. It should be identical (the percentage, not the absolute amount) for each variant. The taxes shown in site clearly has some discrepancy.
