If your numbers are accurate, Ford has done a fantastic job with the pricing. I don't care too much about the petrol Figo, but the diesel Figo is an absolute all-rounder. They have UNDERCUT the Swift's pricing by 25,000 bucks! The base Swift (ex-delhi) starts at 4.74 lakhs, 4.5 for the Figo is sheer VFM.

The Figo has a solid build, great ride & handling, decent space on the inside and that 1.4 TDCi is the best amongst the 5 - 6 lakh rupee hatchbacks. No turbolag, excellent fuel efficiency, amazing driveability and decent pep. Plus, you get the largest boot in the segment. Do I think that the Figo diesel is a better car than the Swift diesel? You betcha.

Bring it on, Ford!

wow if this leak is to believe, its exactly what was expected to offer with their launch.Diesel would be outselling petrol no doubt in that and swift would have some serious competition this time.Bring it on Ford!

@Mustang so you have scooped the prices for all the models. Great job.
Yes, The diesel prices seem to be more VFM than the petrol . Excellent for people looking for a "no nonsense" diesel hatch.

Ah! here it is...it's become a new thread now.

As i was saying in the other thread, the Titanium pricing seems quite unlikely. I don't see any manufacturer giving ABS & airbags for just 30k additional cost.

Ford has a winner in its hands in the form of Figo Diesel

Fantastic pricing. Although I think that the Beat will still find it's buyers, but the Figo (even in it's petrol avatar) makes more sense as an all-rounder.

Ford India might just have unleashed the ace in the pack.

Total Maintaineance Package would be an icing on the cake .
And if a 5 year package it would be surely a killer.

If the prices mentioned above are correct then Ford has an out and out winner. Figo spearheading the onslaught against the reigning champion Swift! Figo, together with launch of a diesel Beat and Polo would drive the final nails in the coffin of phenomenon called waitlist for Swift. Probably, then we will see electric ORVMs on Swift.

But on the other hand a lot of people blindly follow the maruti trail (atleast 50 %) , who wont think of buying figo for even 25k less than swift.
Ford has an image of expensive maintaineance which can only change with time.
I think ford should advertise the total maintaineance package extensively to do wonders for them just as chevrolet did with spark.

Are we sure that 1.4 version is for diesel or Ford has plans to sell Figo with 1.4 petrol as well?
