It's available for the Fiesta, but not worth it as the actual maintenance cost is lower than the TMP cost. Check one of the long term Fiesta reviews (vnabhi's?) for the details. I would recommend taking the extended warranty for complete peace of mind.

Great ... Ford has priced the cars really well, must appreciate that. Base model petrol is just 3.5 Lacs that's amazing for such a big hatchback. I am sure I 20 will suffer from this pricing because its around 1.5 lacs costly than Figo. That's amazing. Also the GM beat will suffer as people can get more space in some extra money. Difficult to beat Petrol swift with K 1.2 engine but surely diesel swift will suffer with such competitive pricing

Market is really hot now with launch of Polo & Figo. With this pricing i guess Ford Figo will lead over VW Polo in terms of sales numbers. Lets see ...

Superb pricing! Welcome Ford into the volumes pitch and wish you all the best.

What will be the number with which Ford will be happy? 3k per month?

I think if they can make atleast 2.5k per month for first 4-5 months, it will be huge advantage for them. The numbers are bound to increase from there as people will start looking at Figo seeing the volumes on the road and word of mouth publicity.

Get in touch with an upholstery guy to know if this is feasible. It may not be all too easy, though.

Look at that, Indica Vista anyone? I see where Ford is going. Congrats and great initiative with respect to pricing, please keep the ownership cost comparable to the market leader.

+1 to that. TMP is not required as the maintenance cost would be lower than that. I decided not to take it for my Endeavor and I am happy now. Extended warranty is the one you should go for.

Ford assembles 150 nos of Figo per day and maintained the same nos for a month. So they have 4500 cars ready for delivery.
@Mustang.101 -- correct if i am wrong.

What will really be interesting will be the cost of spares, a traditional Achilles heel wrt Ford.

Any info on that Mustang ?

With this cut throat pricing, I guess they will sell out the 4500. . Ford is ambitious and aiming big volumes here with this kinda pricing. Its evident that Ford is being dead serious with Figo, no goof ups, and everything has gone on as per plan for Ford. They will follow up the pricing with more marketing blitz, few more dealerships, cheap spare parts etc, so one can expect Ford to do good numbers.

Expecting a full page ad by Ford in TOI daily tomorrow :-))).

With this pricing FORD can easily sell around 3-4K, my previous prediction was 1K per month, my bad!!

ford has absolutely nailed it! especially diesel undercutting the predicted figure by 16k and that too post budget.ford has the option of adding a spurced up top end with better plastics(black and biege combo?),leather seats,alloys,roof rails/spoilers and that rear power window(to satisfy those who crib all day about it),A/T and still position it tad below punto emotion pack.Game ford?
