re: New Mitsubishi Pajero Sport! *UPDATE* Price reduced to 22.56 Lakh!

I personally dont see expect the price to be anything under 25 lac on road delhi, for the car coming in as a CKD. And they were to launch it last july. HM will never learn.

Though, the Pajero brand name in itself is enough to sell 4-500 units a month considering the old pajero still have decent sale for an SUV of this age.

But if Mitsubishi does not price it below the Fortuner i doubt it will get many takers!after all Mitsubishi does not have the same brand image as toyota!

But i think this vehicle will be a better off-roader than the Fortuner.if i am not mistaken the same vehicle (the same chassis that is) was used by Mitsubishi in the Paris Dakar right?

re: New Mitsubishi Pajero Sport! *UPDATE* Price reduced to 22.56 Lakh!

I asked my contact at Excel Motors a couple of weeks ago & he mentioned that it would probably be pushed out to Q1 2012. He'd earlier told me that it would be in the 26+ category. To be honest, I cannot see them pricing it below the current model - why would they need to?

Looks more like Mahindra W201. Looks smaller than Fortuner.

Does look like the T-fort man! Good catch. The chrome mirrors and the wheels look like the refresh as well. Can you please watermark your pics ?

Do you have any additional points to the pic? The alloys look beautiful in the pic. Not sure how does it look in person. And is that an indicator integrated ORVM ? Are you sure it's a Fortuner? Any other clues to confirm this? Did you have a look at the registration plate as well ?

No, i do not have any additional pics. The car took a right turn at that particular point and i was going straight. I actually observed the alloys in the pics as i was more keen on taking a pic without any blurr on my crappy cell phone camera. I am not sure it is a Fortuner, but it looked like one for sure. The registration place was MH 12 TC.

Watermark with Team-bhp?

Now that swings more in favor of the W201 or a Merlin ? Fortuner would have KA registration I guess since the manufacturing plant is near Bidadi.

The refreshed T-Fort doesn't have a Chrome ORVM, Its rather body colored as we see in the refresh pics ! And even the ORVm in the pic doesn't seem like Chrome to me. It rather looks like one with integrated indicator very much similar to the current Safari.

I tried comparing the above pic with all the other SUVs under wraps and think the OVRM resembles the Merlin more than others. Please check the pic with other SUVs - Sorry for a shoddy job, just have mspaint for my assistance.

This is Fortuner for sure, look at the high bonnet, the curve on the Door and the massive wheels. It does not resemble the profile of either Merlin or Mahindra SUV.

The comparison pics made it all the more obvious this is the new Fortuner under test.
Check out the headlamps and bumper.

So things look on schedule for an early 2011 launch.

Anyways, I am off to purchasing the Classic Fortuner tomorrow.

Sorry to disappoint you folks but what we have here is the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and definitely not the Fortuner.

Have a look at how much more rounded the hood is. Also see the camouflage that has no opening for the hood scoop. There is no way they would be driving with the intercooler blocked.

Also look at the headlights and compare with the facelifted. The projectors in the facelifted one are the inner ones near the grill whereas this one is on the outside just like the Pajero sport.

Then look at the front door. The fortuner has a crease running at the bottom of the door. This one doesnt have a crease and the door is more rounded, again similar to the Pajero sport.

Therefore to me this looks like the Pajero Sport and not the facelifted fortuner.

For me too it's looked like Pajero Sport.
The Bonnet, Door and Alloys are seems to be same as the Pajero Sports picture
