Insects trapped inside car lights

Few days back I realised that I have accompany with me in my car all the time.

It was a DEAD FLY in the tail light of my car.

This fly must have come to see the Honda’s tail light assembly technology. While inspecting the reflector of the light closely, the light was sealed with the cover. And the little one got trapped in it. It struggled to dead after buzzing around in that little trap.

What can be done?

Should I threat them for going to the press and get the ELEGANCE KIT from them?

But this raises and cleanliness and hygienic issues in Honda’s tail light assembly plant.

I have a worm inside my speedo console. I don't know how to remove it. Of course it was dead long back.

Have heard of bees under the bonnet. This is probably the first case of fly in the boot.

I could get in from warehouse, so may not be a problem with the manufacturing / QC problem alone. ANd if it is live, it may have got in after you took delivery of the car. I am wondering how it will tolerate the heat after a few minutes of night driving. Or even stop and go city traffic, when you will keep a foot on the brakes for a long time.

teh solution is simple, take the car to the A/S\S.

nope, it cannot get into the light after its sealed. there is no way of getting in that part of the light. well other parts can be accessed while you change the bulb or something.

The poor fly is sealed inside the reflector enclosure,so not much heat from the tail-lamps should percolate inside..!

So it died of either a lack of oxygen or starvation instead of burning to death. These are the moments when you thank God you aren't that fly

Don't worry about it.
We had a dead cockroach in our Mercedes's headlamp, as did my friend.
Very funny, but it happens.

Well, I suppose the fly entered the tail lamp not at the Honda plant but at the place where the tail lamp was manufactured. Is the tail lamp assembly not one of those items that are outsource generally?

On a lighter note, lets hope your tail lamp/car does not become a museum because of this.

well even i have a moth in my NHC tail light for last 2 yrs, came after 6 months of driving, tried to get some photos but they are not very clear,

mine i believe came thru a square opening in upper side of light which seems to give out light in boot and attract insects trapped there, it now has few insects also will get it cleaned in this service

Indeed I had a drangon fly (corpse) between the gap of wind shield and dash (at the bottom part above the steering), I had to change my windshield and that is when we found it. I allways had some mark on the dash near the place and never took it seriously.

I couldn't believe it.
