The Logan is a failure in our market. I am sure they are packing up this model. It is a late decision and would have been more apt if taken in 2008 or 2009!
While in Bangalore in June 2008, I was thrilled to see so many hundreds of Logans doing their duty as taxis from the new airport (that was inaugurated in May 2008) to the metro.I felt for sure that this car maybe replaces the Ambassador as the Indian taxi progressively. as it has most of the Ambys qualities.
But last week when I again went to Bangalore I was somewhat surprised to see Indigo Marinas, some Fiestas and Ikons (the refreshed diesels) as taxis from the newer lots. New Logans were not seen. That means it had its heydays around 2008 but not so now. The old Logans are still running.
