Competitor in what? If engine capacity, then yes. If price, then certainly no way.

Adding my thoughts here - In a way Toyota can be considered as a competitor because, by 2012/13 (provided we survive 2012 Dec) roads are flooded with Nano & here there Nano everywhere kind of scenario & with Tata's quality; Now there's someone to give a premium segment under in same price bracket (???) of 1-2 Lakhs in terms of better plastic quality, better floor console & probably this is 13/14 inch wheels, better looks & from the news it looks like it will have a better engine too. So people can expect more (confusion) choices & thus the competition begins.

Let me first tell you that AutoEn makes all sorts of renderings that have no meaning in the real world. Check their site and you will know what I mean. Moreover, even if Tata tried a Nano competitor, it would cost as much as an Estilo which makes no sense.

Looks like the Toyota vehicle is comparable to the nano only in size. Most likely it is just a rendering of a Kei car concept from Toyota for the Japanese market.

Read in another auto-website about Nano prices being hiked by Rs.30,000
across all versions.

Maybe when Toyota launches it, Nano prices will also shoot up to comparable rates due to other factors.
