great pics sid. This was one of the most awaited car launch. IMO, MSIL should have given beige interior options. Since many people in India think neatly maintained bright beige interior means, it a premium car

The design is much better than expected (after seeing the same vehicle's photos in some other magazine).

The headlights and front grill have a grown-up (new) Estilo look.

I'm eagerly waiting for the engine specs. Hope it will be a 1.2L (either K12 or G12). Or did they able to modify the current 1.1 L engine to BS-IV levels?

BTW, did you notice the white Wagon-R in this pic? Looks very nice, IMO.

Looks really impressive! Wagon-r is one of the best hatches for city use, and in this upgraded, more modern avatar it'll be sweet! Love the side profile

Hope they give it a decent engine though!

This grill is good looking as Swift's.

But the head lights are too sharp and rear door is too plain. Maruti knows that Indians doesn't like these two (as that was the case for Gen-I Wagon-R in India). So, they may have tried to blend the two Wagon-Rs.

Wowie! Looks nice. It isn't the ugly duckling people presumed it to be. I remember people saying it will have Estiloish styling. No where close I say!!!

Sid, did you spot any WagonRs with alloys? I want to have a look at that!! Btw, what engine is to be plonked in? The KB-12?

Thanks for thee pics.

Wagon R is seriously old enough to be retired.
Fully agreed. But peoples are not accepting estilo. What MSIL can do?

Thanks Sid for another scoop.

booooring. Whats with Maruti these days - Ritz looks ugly. This looks very boxy and looks like a hatch from the 80s. And i dont even want to get started on DeZire.

I am not seeing any significant difference from the current model.Maruti, please stop this facelift and ugly boot addition business and provide real head turners. Otherwise cars like Figo, Beat, Polo etc are going to blow you away.VFM cars like Figo are placed precariously close to Wagon R territory.

The new WagonR looks way better. If I were to buy another hatch in the same segment, sure it would be the new WagonR. No other hatch can beat WagonR in practicality, space and comfort. My sister is in lookout for a new car, though she was impressed with the BEAT I have made her to wait for the new WagonR. I'm sure the wait worth it. I'm impressed. This would be the 3rd WagonR in our family .

I love you, Mr. A, hope you liked my treat.

The car is ALL NEW from ground up, with a new chassis suspension, engine, transmission, exterior and interior, every panel is new. Details on the mechanicals will be updated in the next few days.

Absloutely excellent scoop.!! I think this should be the first pictures of the most awaited facelift/car. And if you say it is ALL NEW from ground up, then that is even more stunning. The fact is this time suzuki did get something good; remember everyone talking about APV and got Eeeeko..!

I have been waiting for this one quite long.Let us see how is the engine package, since the wagon R is going to be phased out, this will fit into the maruti profile where old wagon left.

Indeed you are 'One of a kind'.kudos sid.
