Nice scoop Sid.

I like it that this new Wagon-R has a rear wiper. It's a grouse that I have with my current Wagon-R. I also hope they have changed the gear box. The current one is very notchy and not at all good to use. Putting in the K12 engine will give Maruti better production economies and I hope they pass it on to the customers.

Wagon r dna is always going to be there if you want to call it a wagon r

According to your statement - it shouldnt look like a wagon r at all !

Thanks Sid for the pictures.

I think it's a nice face-lift. I am glad they didn't go for a "swoopy" front end, it's still edgy, hence it fits in with the rest of the boxy profile.

Wow

I have used a wagonR for 14000km in 8 months and was in love with it till Ritz was launched. I know the old one had some weakness in handling and bad fuel efficiency but the strengths were toooo good. Luggage space(i once carried a full 1ton AC unit after folding the rear seats) seating comfort in the front and decent at the the back.So many storage spaces that i used to lose lots of my things in the car only to find them at the time of servicing! The new one will definetly break the previous cars volumes of 12000 cars per month.

Sid a very timely scoop you know what i mean,we know you have the scoop on the Cervo too waiting for it..

The design reminds me of the Estilo, in part a bigger version of it.

Good makeover and great pics.
I just hope they come out with a automatic gearbox (of sx4) this time at correct price, as after hyundai discontinued santro there is no small automatic available except the i10.

A timely change just when current wagon was turning obsolete.looks to retain functionality as top priority again.think will be a best seller as the current one is.Side profile is boxier than ever.Dashboard does not project much into cabin- lots of space?

Really nice looking exterior and interior facelifts for a Wagon-R. Hope it'll be on the road soon....

Looks refreshing from inside and the overall shape too looks good. But the front end is boring and does not suite the overall boxy design. I don't understand why they did not get 4th Gen. as it is

Damn sid, how do you manage this every time? I am not aware of your profession but i think you are in auto industry somewhere. And you are officially "kings of scoops" on team. Neat and nice pics. Car looks a lot better than speculated in some other thread. More boxy but more modern. Easier on eyes. Somehow rear is ordinary and boring.

looks sad, especially from the front, looks more like an 80s model not something which could be futuristic, the new estilo looks far better than this one.

Thanks for the scoop sid.

My wagonR has never returned less than ~14kmpl in predominantly city drive with 100% AC. Not sure what you meant by bad FE?
