Saw their full page ad in TOI today. Happy to see the Vista ABS and pricing is very tempting.

Petrol Engine in Indica Vista is Safire, a FIAT power plant also doing duty in Fiat Palio and Fiat Punto. The same engine is called FIRE in Fiat Cars. Engine specs are:

1172cc, 4 Cylinder MPFI
65 PS @ 5500RPM
96 Nm @ 3000RPM

For more on Aura ABS and Aura+, I have attached a pdf file for reference.

Aura ABS and Aura + variants will have 14-inch tyres (for Petrol). Less FE compared to Aura/Aqua/Terra which come with 13-inchers???

The newly released Indica brochure. I feel like thrashing PR folks, look at the rear wheel, its out of alignment. Or does it come with 7 series like active rear wheel steering as standard?

Palio does not have 1.2 FIRE, it has a 1.1 FIRE motor with 1108 cc, 57 PS, 92 NM.

Or does it come with rear discs as standard? You can even see the disc calipers. The front wheel is copy-pasted at the rear in PS.

4.34 ex show room navi mumbai thats around 4.7 L max on road price. The cheapest car which comes with ABS, Airbags, bluetooth connectivity, USB connectivity would be Punto E+ or Manza Aura +, andboth are priced at 6.85 L on road in mumbai. Thats a massive 2 lakh difference in the cost. MUL and Hyundai sales wont reduce much but they definitely have to re think about their pricing because ladies and gentlemen we have a new VFM hatch back winner on our hands. Im loving the way both FIAT and TATA are capturing each sub segment by introduction of new models.

And do expect the monthly TATA sales to increase by 500 at the least by introduction of this model. Swift ZXI ABS is for almost 6L on road man and look at this baby.

Vista Aura + QJD will be around 6.13L OTR Mumbai as against 7.31L of Punto E+ MJD. i.e a 1.18L price difference. On Punto E+ you can get approx 0.32L discount. Hence a difference will be 0.86L.

Punto E+ has alloy wheels, Better tyres, Electrically operated ORVM, Audio control on steering, Auto AC.

It will be difficult to select between these two cars.

The Vista Aura+ was much awaited by people. The ABS & Airbags are great features. 15' Alloys would have been better. Over all Tata is doing well to compete in the market. They also would have included Red color which Manza has.

Good move by Tata. But I am still doubtful about a surge in Vista Safire's sales.

A good move that makes a good car better.
The Punto and Vista in the showroom are great for Tata-Fiat, they are products that have their own strengths and fit in well. In my humble opinion, they are a better fit than the multitude of small cars that Maruti has in roughly the same segment.

Hey Mihir,
IMO your choice will be tough only if you consider GP E+ Petrol, Manza Aura + Petrol and Vista QJD Aura +. I don't think you will consider Vista Safire once you drive it. 1.2 Ltr. 65PS is less for such a big car!!

Here is Pune Ex-Show. pricing for Vista.
