I went for the i20 Asta Petrol 1.2 Version. Fits my needs well.
THe VW polo. It was in the shortlist for me along with the Punto.
To me the Polo lost out because of
1. Three pot engine which starts with a shudder (Observed it in the TD Vehicle) though a friends Polo (Fellow BHPian as well) it is lot better. You can have a look at his ownership review here
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...-highline.html

2. Absolute lack of features in the Top Version as well in comparison to the other 2

3. Funny Central locking mechanism where only the driver has the lock and unlock buttons

4. Waiting time of 3 Months ... I just cant wait !!!!

The Polo is a damn good car thanks to the design, handling, wonderful build quality and the chassis but I felt VW could have thought out a bit more on the engine and features a bit more. Hopefully the 1.6 version would do better in these counts.

Just curious! Why is the Hyundai website not showing i20 diesel prices?

@ @ri

Truly said, I am too really confused between Polo and I20 Sportz.

I just love the interiors and faetures of i20 whereas Polo is just a plain vanila from inside. However exterior muscle built of Polo is just amazing, though i20 is quite good too.

I am really wondering which one to go for !

Probably your ownership review can help my concern

I thought you already got the Polo CL delivered to you on 4th May! You've even posted a pic of your car, here: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...ml#post1878494

Could you clear that confusion?

Well, if you can bear the horrible AC and lifeless steering, the i20 should be good for you

That is only audible at the start. Once you're on the move, the 3-pot can hardly be distinguished from a 4-pot.]

True. The VW Polo lacks steering control buttons, electric mirrors, ACC...

Actually i like this kind of central locking. You wouldn't have to yell at each passenger to lock the door themselves Just one touch of a button, and everyone's safe.

Oh yes! This is the most agonizing part. My Polo will come in July.

@ Above:

Oh I see, actually that is my first cousin, and he got Polo on 4th May. He is damn convinced by the brand and I guess our priorities our different.
I am also getting inclined toward the brand of VW in comaprison to i20. But as soon as I move into his Polo, I find featureless car with excellent handling.

I am sorry for the confusion.

Regarding the AC issues let me make it very clear that only few cars have this problem. I myself own an i20 but have never faced the grim situation like few mentioned here. Certain times I've to increase the AC's temperature to get some relief from the chill.
