Its seemingly good news. As per an article on Cardekho, GM is contemplating about launching Chevy Camaro in India somewhere around early next year. clap:

The article also says that it will be brought as CBU, which means that its going to be very expensive and would be sold through some bouquet showrooms only. The same article also quotes about Chevy Corvette also being launched alongside.

Well lets see how true the claims are. The article is available at the following link:

I loved the aggressive looks of the Camero when i saw it at the Auto Expo. If it is a CBU, it is going to be really very expensive.

Honestly, I feel General Motors is either confused how to approach the Indian market or over reacting with joy after selling 10 K + cars last month.

FYI - A yellow Camaro is on display at Trident Chevrolet, Kalyan Nagar, Bangalore. It will be on display there till 2nd April.

Sorry, did not click any pics.

+1. What they need is a decent entry level sedan to replace Aveo and a make over for Optra. This would complete their lineup.

Thats looks like total hogwah. No way a Camaro is going to be sold here for the at price. Realistically you look at the other side of 50 lakh rupees. Another one of the media errors I guess

While 22L might be hogwash I don't think Camaro deserves a 50L price tag either. In the US the Camaro retails at around the levels of C class/3 series. If GM ever launches it here (which is a big IF in itself) and wants to sell it then a price between 30-35L would be ideal for both the company and the buyer.

The Camaro will not make it to India in the near future. RHD version hasnt been engineered yet though GM was planning it a while back. Even in UK the camaro is imported in LHD in limited numbers.

Note from Moderator: Closing the thread as RHD version not yet available. This car surely is not coming sometime soon. Thanks
