All car Factories look the Same IMHO. But I remember going to the Fiat plant a few years ago, and it looked like a Hand assembly line. It looks much more automated now. Good.

No Finnay, Only quality control is enough. For sales we can see TATA showroom. And about HR, I would interested to see only if those ladies are hired directly from Italy (STRICTLY 0% LOCALIZATION on that front) .

do you have idea on how Linea, Punto and palio are manufactured in a day?
In a car manufacturing plant, there would be the following sub assemblies as listed
  • body shop for the pressing and cutting
  • Welding - to put these body pressed parts and for the chasis
  • Painting
  • Assembly line
  • Finish line
  • QC
  • Testing
For the Linea and Punto. The press process is outsourced. the ready parts are then welded and painted, this moves onto the sub assemblies where the doors, engine and transmission and other parts are put together and the finish line takes care of the completing the car and getting it ready for the QC to pass it.

The engines and transmission are manufactured separately and then brought in to the assembly line.

I have explained in a very crude way. Will update with a neatly combined one shortly.

Most places do quality management and not quality control

Secondly, QC audits on an assembly line happen throughout the assembly line itself and not necessarily in a separate place called QC department

Great pics. Thanks for sharing, Sir. The Alfa Romeo 159 looks very desirable, I must add. I wish you had more pictures of it!
